Bottom line is that Hodgson knows how to keep teams in the PL, and that is a priceless asset. Palace are capable of excellent counterattacking performances, and with players like Eze, Batshuayi and hopefully Ferguson soon, we should be getting better offensively whilst keeping our excellent defence. But I have to admit watching so much defensive turgid football is pretty dire

Eze has been dropped to the bench.I suspect Batshuayi would not have started if Ayew was available and Ferguson was signed with a long-term injury.

I'd love to know how far away Clyney is from first team action. Ward has been excellent for us but having a fully fit Clyne, who is quicker, better passer of the ball and the type of full back who can get up the pitch too would massively help us.

That is of course, if he returns anywhere near the player we once had.

An improving Fulham will give us a game but unless we make another error at the back, can't see them scoring..

So, Fulham 0-1 Palace and Roy is hailed a hero

I doubt that. I've ceased to have faith in any Liverpool cast-offs.

Roy has to do so much more to restore credibility after his stewardship of seven defeats in a row at the end of last season and should have stood down.

I think the lack of attacking flair and pace from our full backs has been one of the major weaknesses recently although Mitchell appears a better defender than Van Aanholt IMO. If Clyne is anywhere near the force of old and Van Aanholt fit I’d like to see both.

Anybody is a better defender than Van Aanholt......he’s terrible.

Dude... that is so... inspiring. I love you for that. You're 100% wrong, but I love that you think this way. COYP.

It was my attempt at sarcasm.
I think Roy should quit too.

Lose on Saturday and he's probably gone.
