Good goal from Wilf, 3-0.

Typical drag to his left, dummy before shifting onto his right and burying it

Interestingly (kind of) Wilf the only player to play the full 90

I’m nearly sure he played full 90 against Oxford also

He don't play goalie or full back (der der dee der der),
He rarely features in attack (der der dee der der),
You'll never see him on the wing (der der dee der der),
Central defending is his thing,

Jaroslav Jach!!! Centre Back! ...

(then a chorus of oh-ohing to the saxophone melody which follows in the original).

Very Good!

Good to win, but very little in the way of competition from Charlton beyond them throwing themselves in the way of the ball and fouling Wilf. Of the youngsters Boateng looks the most comfortable and I wonder if he'll make the bench this season. Roy seemed to single him out for praise as the players left the pitch with a hearty pat on the back.

Possibly.

Probably playing with a spring in his step too because he’s been told he can go.

A good positive performance with some neat passages of play.

The complete opposite I would say. Clubs don’t put players at risk of injury if they want to sell. He will be a Palace player at seasons start.

Does Wilf really need to be in the shop window?

Yep like his showing in a friendly against Charlton is going to make any difference to whether he is sold or not
