Averages aside, there's little confidence when WH is shown in the starting XI & I'm guessing the back 4 feel the same way. For the sake of a few quid I'd do we really want to be back to having WH as our 1st choice option again ?

Just for the record I am not happy about going into next season with Wayne Hennessey as our back-up keeper. I thought we were in for the fella down at Portsmouth. Hopefully he will come for a cross and stand in the middle of his goal for a 35-yard free kick. Unfortunately not something present in Wayne's skill set. When I hear the team line-ups on the radio on the way to the game and Wayne has unexpectedly been drafted in, I get a sinking feeling inside. At least when there is a death on the TV they make sure you are sitting down first. Wayne's unexpected selection should follow a similar approach.

So manager's Pardew, Pullis, Allardyce and Roy have all played WH. I would back their knowledge that WH is Premier League level over yours any day. Add the Managers of Wales who have given WH 81 Caps, do they know more than you do about football perhaps.??
Who else do Wales have to play? I think WH is a good 2nd choice keeper but to say he is better than Guiata is ridiculous. I am in the camp of those that say the defence had no confidence in WH, for such a big keeper his command of the area is poor. I am speaking as a ST holder behind the goal in the Holmesdale

Alex McCarthy. In fairness, good now, but sh1t for us. Was he? or was it Pardew who unsettled him? Rumours are the latter

Hennessey needs to go first , that way if Guita does leave , we definitely need to get someone new. Same as Freedman needs to go before Roy. That is very harsh on WH definitely can’t agree with this

Just for the record again my opinion is that WH is not as bad as people say he is and VG is not as good as people say he is. Also VG, IMHO is not the best GK ever to play for Palace, we've had some cracking keepers such as Dick Graham, Roy Bailey, Bob Anderson, Bill Glazier, Vic Rouse, John Jackson, John Burridge, Nigel Martyn, Julian Speroni to name a few.

VG has shown flaws towards the end of the season but, given an option I'd still gamble the majority of Palace fans would pick him over WH. Burridge & Martin were quality for sure but seeing as the club have suffered with poor keepers for quite some time it's hardly surprising VG gets the adoration he does. If WH never played for us again I wouldn't fret, he's not that bad a keeper but certainly not Premier level.

I can look up Stats on the Premier league too. Here one for you: WH joined Palace in 2014 which is 6 years ago. He has played 181 games all of them in the Premier League, he has made just 13 rpt 13 errors leading to goals in all that time. If you were not suggesting from this that WH is better then I apologise. Not sure anyone has said VG is the best ever, imo Nigel Martin, Bill Glazier and Vic Rouse were better
