I like most have watched an awful lot of football over the last few weeks. Teams with smaller quality squads are struggling. Including us, we look tired and are irritated at the least thing. Other teams also look similar. Leicester are blowing cold and colder as are Everton. It seems to be happening to all teams at the moment. Even Liverpool who I feel would have found a way against Burnley if they weren't playing every three or four days. I know they're young men and professional but these are very unusual times. My real concerns for us revolve around the new season. I'm not sure when it's due to start but unless there is a 6 week lay off and then games going back to one a week or so, I really fear for us next year. On Roy I think the answer is simple. Sack him or back him. If we sack him we would really need to back the new manager. Clear out some of the squad and replace. But that could be dangerous if we clear too many out as West Ham, Everton and Fulham have found out, changing the team too much doesn't mean instant success. Just be careful what we wish for.

We could end up with Chris Hughton. That will go down well with our supporters!!!!

One thing is perfectly clear, with an aging squad unless new blood is introduced very soon relegation is nailed on.

Roy has done his very best and did an incredible job to turn our fortunes around.
However, five defeats in a row are difficult to take any many would agree that Parish needs to act close season. When a few expressed a view that we would fail to secure one point from our last 8 games,I thought they were being unduly negative and harsh.
Now see this as the reality, sadly.

As we have played these tactics all season, very rarely touching the relegation places and now won't be relegated why would we definitely be relegated next season ? Even after our debacle yesterday against Villa they will more than likely go down, add Norwich too that and 2 out of the 3 promoted teams will drop. Sheff U have done really well but might do a Huddersfield next season. Judging by our transfer windows this season think 14th place is about right for us. If we do virtually nothing in the next transfer window then 14-16th place is again about right for us. Unfortunately due to lack of investment in the squad and unwillingness to give fringe players/youngsters a sustained go in the team we have failed to push on at all. If it continues then we will be looking over our shoulders next season.

Four wins from our last 16 - that is relegation form.

Whilst due to his Weeds background wouldn't go down too well but actually I feel not a bad shout. We need a manager who can take on Roy's great work with the defense but is willing to shake up the attacking options. Weeds looked fairly sound at the back under him, unlike the other night against Citeh. The pool of manager's for us is fairly small as I can't see a foreigner coming in and think Hughton might be in it.

True, but we are not getting relegated. The concern is if we continue that form into next season, whenever that starts ? This has happened previously, read below.Feel we have to get some new blood into the team. Pards end of tenure springs too mind. We were shocking from Xmas and only a long Cup run papered over how bad we were. The next season the wheels fell off by Dec because the problems had not been addressed pre season. The next transfer window will be critical. If we don't recruit to attempt to address the issues by Xmas we may not have any wheels again.

I get the impression that teams that end the season badly carry on that form the next season unless something radically happens at the club.

For the last few seasons we have finished the season strongly so it is a worry.

We have won 5 of our last 8 games the previous two seasons.
Many of our supporters believe we will end up losing our last 8 games this season.
Different and unusual circumstances of course this season.

Good point. No fans and also weren't we struggling at the back end of the league for a little longer in those seasons and needed the points.

How things chage a few weeks ago, Roy was fine after 4 straight wins and no relegation threat.
We then play 3 of the top 4 in the league, plus in form Burnley, who haven’t lost in 12 games and Villa fighting for survival, lose the lot and everyone wants him sacked.
It just isn’t going to happen, the board will look at who we played, then look at the money coming in next season and the status quo will remain.
