No relegation - no point in playing.
If the bottom 6 scupper it then they should all start next season with 10 points defecit.
Personally I would stop the season now and send the current bottom three down and so on.
It will be interesting to listen to the many howls of indignation!

Very democratic!

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Talk of taking the whole circus to Australia and finishing the Premier league there!
Only 19 cases in the whole country at present!
Players & staff tested before leaving.
Direct flights to Perth for around 75 personnel per club. Testing on arrival and Initial isolation period in hotels, restricted training during this period and then if still free of symptoms, free to move around and play matches without restrictions thereafter.

So we may still have our aussie pre season tour after all!

The reality is that footballers (not staff) are all young, do not have underlying health conditions (the ones affected) and are not obese. Thus the 3 main causes of needing hospitalization are not there.

Even if they all get Covid, they’d likely (I know, not definitely), be fine.

We will all likely get it. Why not expose the healthy and fit?

I have certainly read this I think it was a football agent however I don't believe it has been discussed by the PL that said it is not as crazy as it sounds.

Parish is in the enviable position of having voting rights on something that is going to have very little effect on Palace's season.
I'm sure if Palace were close to top 6 or bottom 3 , then his opinion might be different.

The legalities are the priority, in order to avoid legal action by Uefa, Sky and other sponsors or involved parties.

Agreed we can afford to be pragmatic and statesmanlike.

Just had a quick read of the Charlton fan site I was interested in a view from the lower leagues.

One poster claims that 1400 players will be out of contract at the end of June. Many of those players will be desperate to re-sign however the lucky few will know that clubs will be lining up to sign them. Of course this is true for every season however if the League doesn't re-start until June and you are a player in demand would you want to risk getting injured when you are days always from your contract expiring?

As to completing the season, promotion and relegation the feeling seems to be that what ever the PL decides will get replicated across the EFL they feel pretty powerless about this.

Apparently the bottom 6 who are asking for the season to be abandoned have no objection to playing on if relegation will not apply. What would be the point ?

If, somehow they can get 1 more club to agree with them that will wreck the Project Restart plans.

They will be happy but 13 other clubs will be furious
and the scope for litigation by aspiring Championship clubs could likely delay the start of next season.

Everyone then loses. The only way out is then to bribe the eventual bottom 3 with a substantial relegation bonus...totally deplorable not to mention unethical.

The myriad of possible outcomes is bewildering. Some clubs are going to get upset, whatever happens.

Non-league clubs who have seen no promotion or relegation this season, still have pending legal challenges to the decision and the process which produced the outcome.
