if we stay up this season then we will HAVE to get replacements in next season ready for the expensive players we let go - for all the short termism and some very dodgy transfer windows Parish is trying to keep us up, but maybe it would be better/cheaper to do the rebuild in the championship?! The problem is that having money is a requisite for re-building & thanks to our current wage bill, we have none. Based our finances, unless a benefactor punts in more cash, we simply have no money to rebuild in the summer - we’ll only lose Dann off the wage bill (according to the OP) I

I giggle when I see posts on here about having a clear out - we should ditch Sahko, Wickam, Meyer (delete as appropriate). Simple question is - who’s going to buy them? We’re lumbered until the end of these contracts. Our short term / desperation recruitment policy has well & truly bitten back.

The opportunity to take the hit, get rid and save circa 200k a week on wages ignored. I have to confess I do not understand transfer / contract dealings at the club.

We've gate crashed this party for way to long now. The birds aren't interested, the fellas don't takes us seriously 'still', and we've run out of dough and resorted to minesweeping drinks ... suddenly it's turned into a really sh*t night out. Will have to bunk the night bus too ... f*cking miserable! When it gets to that point ... you should just leave! Disclaimer I don't minesweep drinks and haven't been on a night bus in 30 years ...

Agree with this Meyer might be bought back to Europe if he shows great form with a run of games in which case why would we want to sell him Originally posted by Dancer Cat

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

That’s why. We need to shift players Roy doesn’t rate or play (something Parish said in his interview we don’t do), or just Roy doesn’t like, and I suppose why we extended Benteke. I’m it sure if Freedman and Roy have each other’s phone numbers or speak on their WhatsApp group.

He seems very calm but I bet he’s a bit anxious of the near future with the age of nearly the whole team and a lot of the squad. Most of it I think. The 2 young prospective signings didn’t happen so it is obviously the aim, and then not getting them done is ours usual trouble. He did make an error saying something like we do t sign players that do t make the bench or team after talking at length about spending so much time making sure all our signings are right and waiting for them to be our players. He’s forgotten Camarasa, Meyer in regards to not fitting us, Roy or Royball and the other 3 or do clowns we signed a year ago wasn’t it, or was it the year before? I’d like a question posed on where we’re looking and buying and what we’re doing about it when we’ve only bought Prem experienced players that come at a premium, with no resale value etc etc etc. There was little substance in there. There was a lot of placating fears and assuring fans we get the right deals done and not for the sake of it. Well there’s been 2 windows just gone and none of these types of players come in other than Cahill in his twilight years and Tosun on loan, although there is some logic to that in the trial before purchase. It was a good interview but with lots of Parish’s words there’s usually not much substance behind the talk of working hard or smart or he knows how to placate concerns by saying the right things without really saying what it is they’re doing, and it’ll have come after it not happening before. Steve is from PR school and business.

Still haven't seen the interview, will watch tonight. But having single targets is profoundly unwise. Competition for good players is intense, and history suggests we're not great at winning such competitions.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

Hopefully the other clubs will wait for us to overhaul the squad and not stick the boot in if we have more holes in the team in the next 2 seasons for more matches than we usually do. The one player that has worked with is Guaita, but all the other positions, and not necessarily the players because I doubt we were after PVA and Schlupp for example 6 months before, or Sakho and his expensive loan and transfer fee, we have taken high risks with being given a lesson by the Prem and being relegated. The shop window we’re looking in might’ve changed, but has the shopper?
