Not sure why you want to get rid of these four players .

That only happens in your head unfortunately.

That's 21, so who are the other 4? Plus Tosun and Schlupp are expected to be out for another three or four weeks and there's no return date for Sakho. Without assuming an ostrich position and putting on red and blue tinted spectacles, I find it difficult to be persuaded that "no more squad players are needed".

We have 23 senior players available and that includes young Brandon. How can a PL side not fill it’s squad quota, it’s unbelievable at this level of the game.

Pierrick is in the U18s and has played seven minutes of PL football; that doesn't make him a "senior player". Who's the 23rd then?

Kouyate, Guita, Schlupp, McArthur, Luka, Townsend, PVA, Tomkins and Ayew togethers wages are less than Benteke, Sakho, Meyer and Wilf, and only wilf is a regular, until this is sorted out then its not rocket science why we are struggling financially

Let's not just look at this window look back over the last few. We have only spent £2,5 m on Ayew and only signed one player under 25 Meyer who is a first team signing.

We have clearly got serious money problems and the AWB money - which we drew down a loan against has gone ....where?

Dougie needs sacking as what does he do? We don't sign players and that is a key part of his job.

We also operate double standards - demanding all of the money up front say for AWB and from what I hear one of the reasons we lost out on players this time was we wanted to pay little up front and lots over time.

Our club is being mismanaged and I fear that we will sell Wilf simply to balance the books not move us on.

Good post. Given what Meyer earns I thought he was brought in to be a regular starter; RH obviously has different ideas, which begs the question, considering the expenditure and lack of game time why was Meyer brought in? Surely there were other players available?

I can understand, people are disappointed, but the January window is the panic purchase window. We are sitting midtable and picking up points regularly, so there was never going to be an influx of purchases, like the Allardyce window.
West Ham are panicking and paid way over the odds for Bowen. As for Ferguson, if we bought him and he spent 2 years on the treatment table like Wickham, who would get the blame.
Tosun looks a good loan signing, he will score a few goals.

Not true Benteke was on a deal worth 120 a week we don't know what his current deal is you would think it was decreased it 100% wont of gone up.

You have just made up numbers most those players are on around 60+ each

We have money people need to stop saying we don't you can't sell a player for 60m and then claim we don't have any the wages had been reduced so we use around 80% max of tv money on them.

Another thing people are blaming Dougie come on use your brains hes a SP puppet how is it his fault

Look it's clear that the Americans have no interest in investing any further and want out..!!

Now whether that's because they want to run the club and Parish won't relinquish his stake/control is just pure speculation - we do not know what is happening behind the scenes.

If you believe some of the threads Hodgson said that he and Parish had been asking the American's for money to invest in the window - but clearly nothing doing.

I he move suspect that the move for Fergurson broke down due to WBA not wanting to do a structured deal "on the never never" and that the injury thing is a bit of a smoke screen - boys played 21 games this season no problems.

Upside is that we have PVA, Milo and Andros all back - if you look at it conversely to have them now available after the window and translate to transfer value/new players available - what would have been their cost in the window?

So it ain't all bad.

But it seems there is now a complete impasse between Parish and the Americans and that if that ain't sorted before the summer/next season we really will be relegation candidates next year.

So this need sorting between now and the end of the season.

The quicker we get to securing our Premiership survival and status for next season the more attractive we are for new Investors to buy the Americans out and the longer Parish has to complete those negotiations.

Then to kick off the summer window with investment, funds and a clear strategy in place.

Beyond that Roy ain't getting any younger - he is doing a an excellent job IMO - but that will need addressing. Personally I'd go all out for Eddie Howe - think he would be good for us. Think Bmuff are doomed this season.

In summary think we have more than a strong enough squad, with the "walking wounded" now available to secure a comfortable mid season finish with time/games to spare.

For the reasons I mentioned above the real worry is that if we/Parish doesn't get someone to buy out the American's then next season could be when things really begin to unravel.

On today, think Roy will have the boys right up this and with the injured players returning will make us all the stronger, can see 3-1 Palace.

COYP..!!

Benteke would still be on 120k a week if you offer him a contract on less he is entitled to a free transfer which would negate any point in extending it. all the others are on between 65 and 32.5 if you believe the figures which I do
