to be fair pardew had a poorer squad to choose from, having a players like sakho, luka for a start.
the end of last season under hodgson was some of the best football ive ever seen us play!

Neither Sakho nor Luka played under Pardew.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I disliked Pardew for more reasons that I have time to write about today.
He damaged CPFC very badly during his tenure and should have gone after the FA Cup Final.
Murray - should have stayed and I said so at the time and Jedi should have been offered a way to stay at the club - I have no doubt he will be back in some capacity soon!
Pardew was a chancer.
So Hodgson for me every time by comparison.
Whether I like his football makes no difference - he is a Gentleman and doesn't use excuses when we lose.
When Pardew won it was down to him and when we lost it was someone else's fault.
Pardew won't get another job higher than League One ever again in my opinion.
He is toxic!

Very good summary. I agree entirely.

Yes Pardew has damaged the club....maybe Parish is the root cause of the issues a lot of managers have had to put up with recently...a mate put me onto this 17mins from the end is where it gets interesting

Interesting piece from Holloway.
If he is being honest - and there are two sides to every story - then it doesn't put SP in a good light.

I agree with Mr Dolphin and Mr Funt!

AP played in the FA Cup semi, scored a goal and as far as CPFC is concerned has lived off that ever since. Publicly he seems to have forgotten there were at least 11 other CPFC players on the pitch that day as well as Sir Steve etc pitchside,

Always remembering walking from the Holmesdale to the Whitehorse end at half time!

Wow. Holloway is a man of his word but Parish isn't. Perhaps that goes somewhere to explaining why he keeps falling out with managers.

The Palace bit starts at 1:07

Interesting clip...wonder how Roy puts up with it if he’s getting the same sh@t as Holloway. Maybe we should cut the poor old sod some slack for our 39 Pts and GD.

I've always said that there were things going on in the background that caused both Tony Pulis and Sam Allardyce to leave and although Sam recently hinted that things weren't exactly rosy between himself and Steve he wouldn't expand on it.

I'm looking forward to both sets of memoirs

I saw that Holloway clip on social media earlier... if this is what Parish is like, then this explains a lot about how we have gone through managers so readily.

Don't get me wrong, Parish and co. saved the club, and being astute with some of the more mercenary managers like Pulis and Allardyce is probably wise. Still, it does make him look a nob.

Very strange, Warnock was on Sky Sports today saying that selling Murrey was the worst decision he made when he was Palace Manager, said he didn't realise what a good player he was, and that he was always asking to be sold as he wasn't getting any game time.
I always thought it was Pardue who sold him, but Warnock insists it was him, have we all been wrong all this time ?
