That's the changing rooms, with the park keepers office and there use t be a little kiosk selling snacks etc, the remains of the original clubhouse were down on the road that ran from Green Lane to the car park behind the police station

I remember that kiosk !
Yes the park keeper's office was there - Syd used to come stomping out of there to get lads out of the goalmouth areas.
I don't recall the clubhouse you have mentioned.Maybe it was built after I left the area.

It's probably gone now, think there's all kinds of new builds in the area now , remember the 2nd hand shop near the ice rink? Full of ice skates , obviously a high turnover of clientele at the rink , although it was only down the road I never went . Heard the urban myth about someone having their finger sliced off when they fell on the ice , put me off, same reason I never dived off board top board at Purley Way.

Don't remember this.
I wasn't an ice skater.
Wasn't there a bus garage just down from the Ice Rink ?

Yes I remember the bus station and the second hand shop.
Also a chip shop near the Swimming Pool.
That Top board at Purley was high.

The RedHawks (formerly Redskins) start their home campaign tonight against Cardiff Fire.

If anyone fancies a change from Palace, the puck drops tonight at 6:45.

It's always a quality night out and costs £10 on the door.
I'll be there if anyone wants to say hello.

Tree Junior played in goal for the Yetis the last three years and trained a little with the NightHawks.

It's a really good spectacle for sure. Just so flaming late at night

Wasn't there (maybe still is) a small bridge over the river Graveny just before you entered the park with the car park on the right?

Weird name given the lack of proximity to the sea?
