Think someone said its very bad and although he's hopefully expected back sometime this season it could be a case that he doesn't recover from it...

Apologies in advance if that's bollox and I've my wires crossed but I think that's what someone said.

Same with Dann.

I liked Wickham but after such a long time injured I cant see him coming back and making much of an impact.
Would love to be proved wrong but cant think of many examples from history.

It's supposed to be the end of this month when he returns. Although that date does seem to be continually pushed back. However torn ACLs are soul-crushing. All the people on here that give him stick need to see Dann's from last weekend. Imagine if that happened to you, when you'd be running again? Probably never. Penny Hardaway was reaching Michael Jordan heights- ACL tear, BOOM career over.

Such a terrible shame for him,as both young, experienced and working with Roy would no doubt bring out his true potential.

His return date, due to the severity of his injury, has been put back many times and I would not be surprised if we do not see him playing again until next season.

Even if we do see him next season I very much doubt he will be anything like the player he was. Such continuous series injuries take a huge toll on a player I am afraid.

I think he’s a big loss Connor. He’d Be fantastic in our side now. Would be great off the bench or as another option to Benteke.

Bolasie seems to be doing ok - saw him last night in the cup tie and I see flickers of his old self, which was very encouraging. In fact he was one of their most dangerous players. An ACL tear isn't the career ender it once was, so I wouldn't give up hope yet.

It’s very case by case. For some people it’s much harder to come back from.

Yeah was great to see. Do think he’s lost a yard of pace though which is a massive part of his game.

Disagree - thought he was a pale shadow of his old self, awful performance no confidence by the end.
