Goodwin and Co. to be called upon to explain their actions in terms of the sort they told to investors during a rights issue in 2008. Lose, and it's hard to see where they go from there as an institution.

I worked in the treasury dept. for three years in the early eighties until i left by 'mutual consent'. It was a firkin horrible place even back then. Edited by glazedallover (28 Sep 2016 11.15pm)

There's no substance to them, so yeah, the markets will collapse (50%+ isn't an unreasonable figure). Warren Buffet is the latest in a long line of multi-billionaires to pull out of the markets which pretty much tells you all you need to know.

Exchange rate is important to me I spend so much of my time in Europe and the US and use Pounds to change up.

The only reason Lloyds is leaking money is because the regulators keep f'ing extending PPI claim deadlines. Other than that they're now making profits and are back paying dividends!
