There is no such thing as "no chance" in a fight but this was as close as you can get.
Sky Sports Box office just love people like you.

Mate...entitled to your opinion...but from the seat I watched it in...Brook did enough to show he was in the fight and exceeded a lot of the predictions like the ones you have made.

I definitely saw at least one point where GGG was shall we say, less than comfortable, with Brooks punches. He was surprisingly easy to hit though he's known for a lack of head movement. He'll come unstuck at some point over the next couple of years. Brilliant fighter though. Brook's stock has gone up too. He never got the credit he deserved but did humself proud here.

Some of the punches had an impact but I agree that he massively had his work cut out. It was an enjoyable fight though and there is no denying that Brook was very brave and gave it his all. It was well worth watching and there's nothing wrong with a huge underdog type match up, where both fighters give it their all.

GGG is definitely beatable as he gets caught far too easily even if he takes punches well. It'll just likely be at the hands of someone more powerful than Brook.

Everyone is beatable. But GGG felt what Brook had and could afford to take risks as Brooks power wasn't going to be enough.
If he was fighting someone heavier handed, he would have been more cautious.
When Glovkin was interviewed he said that Brook isn't a middle weight, which summed it up.

He took a clean hook off brook bang on the chin and didn't even wince, let's not pretend brook ever had a chance, he would have to box out of his shoes and put on one of the best defensive/evasive displays of all time and that was never going to happen. Without the weight advantage golovkin is probably better than brook anyway.

My prediction was that he would lose the fight. He did.

He had no chance. You keep believing what you wish.

I expect you think wrestling is real.

It's beginning to sound like the next big fight will be a couple of you having a punch up

I watched the fight (and won 60 quid ) the only thing I was mildly surprised at was that it went 5 rounds.

GGG summed it up perfectly for me, when he was interviewed after the fight he smiled (without a mark on him) saying "he is not middleweight", also when asked if he hurt him he replied flatly "No".

Total mismatch, brook deserves credit for even getting in the ring but we all know the fights should have been Khan V Brook and Canelo v GGG.

I think he might stand a chance at light middle, but he should stop thinking about the middle weight division unless he wants to end up seriously injured.

Agreed on all the above. Brook did himself and his career no harm on Saturday, he'll step up to light middleweight with a much higher profile than he previously thought. Not his fault no-one in his current division wants to fight him.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

That's true...but some boxers don't get better cutting weight. Bellew was a prime example. Bellew was killing himself to make light heavy and struggled twice against Chilemba, lost to Cleverley wide and got annihilated by Stevenson.

Up a weight division he is a different animal and knocked out someone who most though would beat him easily.

And Khan didn't lose to Alvarez because of weight. He was outboxing him before getting hit by one big shot...the same as he had against Willie Limmond years earlier. He was strong and fast at the weight and had to gain a lot more than Brook has.

Bernard Hopkins...middleweight to light heavy
Roy Jones...middle to heavy
so many more

Elite boxers have climbed through weight divisions for decades. Putting weight on with the amount of science they have behind them is nothing new and has seen plenty of success in the past.

If brook loses I don't think it will be because of weight...it will be because Golovkin can fight.

He lost entirely down to weight, alvarez knew he could walk through his punches before eventually tiring and that's when he would start catching khan and it would be game over.

Roy Jones, toney, hollyfield, Duran, de la hoya, pacquiao, mayweather ect were all regarded as the best at their weight before moving up.

Or you get other fighters that will never be the best so they move to a less packed division, especially British fighters who will get a title shot just because they bring so much money to the title.

Brook is in his prime and has so many big fights in his own division, a lot probably wouldnt even name him as the best light welterweight in the world. If he had problems making weight then he should of went to super welter, not stepping upto middleweight to fight golovkin. The fight was purely money.

Catch weights are happening far to frequently in boxing now and it's down to boxers not wanting to fight each other more needs to be done to stop it. Basically the public are getting robbed.

Add to that the sham of Super titles, silver titles, international belts etc. On top of the fact there are so many sanctioning bodies in the first place.

I know mate, WBA now has 3 world titles, then with the other 3 main ones, refusing to work together, refusing to rank certain fighters. I find it hard enough to keep up let alone your casual boxing fan

And then some get all the time in the world to take a mandatory, while others get the belt removed 5 minutes after they've won it.
