Not just one of those I dont like him and never met him people. And Mo Farah the bloke is brilliant both 5,000 and 10,000 gold medals 2012 and now 2016 Edited by sniffer dagenham (22 Aug 2016 2.03pm)

Have enjoyed the olympics. But I do think it's ridiculous how many gold medals they give out in some sports, like the cycling, we get told that some fella that we've never heard of is our greatest ever Olympian , then the camera pans to someone that you don't recognise who looks like he has just mugged Ba Baracus. The one where the 2 of them drive around slowly , the one at the front is looking at the other one who then tries to catch them out by riding off quickly is a f**king joke. The taikwondo is also ridiculous, a martial art? I'd love to have a punch up with someone that does that.
Mo will get knighted. Also, he does run very quickly. Next Olympics - expect him in the road race.

I think SPOTY ought to have a roll over as some years no one does anything of note, then other years 4 or 5 people deserve it. Personally I think Jason Kenny will get it this time. Edited by Part Time James (22 Aug 2016 2.33pm)

The number, sadly for him, would be the same though. Russia were banned for Athletics, in which we won only 2 gold medals and in both events that the Russians are nowhere near challengers.

I should really be biased towards Mo as I am primarily a 5000m runner at my running club and I can't ride a bike, but I am slightly leaning towards JK.

The Olympic glut years do make for a hard choice. Both times he's done the World double Andy Murray has won it.

I mean, he's good, but he's good at a sport that NOBODY aspires to be good at. You never talk to an 8 year old who says "when I grow up I want to wear a little white PE kit and hit a ball back and forth over a net until another camp looking bloke can't hit it back".
