We need to maybe focus on negotiating trade deals with the rest of the world, before going 'all in'.

Oh yes. Obama not being so disloyal with his 'back of the queue' when he'd naturally say 'wait in line' rhetoric might be a good start. John Kerry soon realised how long we've stood side by side.

Doesn't mean the US will do us any favours going forwards, they're very driven by capitalism. I think we've always been their 'voice in the EU', at least in their minds. Our value and stock might be reduced outside of it.

Is this thread still about cheese?

All I smell is cheese.

RE: cars, Jaguar is a non starter, they don't have the capacity, or have affordable models for "the man in the street". But Japanese cars run German cars close on quality these days and you could argue, are better value pound-for-pound.

Problem is there are a lot of German car dealerships in the UK and from my memory, when working with Ford, Japanese cars are bloody well built, and rarely seem to need much in the way of parts!! My old Datsun only ever required service parts from the day we bought it second hand, to the day it was scrapped.

Not like American cars, which are s**t, cheap and have a great secondary market for parts. That's where the money is, parts.

The UK can play silly games as well.

This seems like a good time for a state visit / trade delegation to Russia...perhaps they'll be interested in buying some cheese off us.

The problem is, if the UK plays silly games, it'll weaken our position with other trade negotiations. The smell of blood and all that.

All these countries will continue to trade with us, the problem is going to be the time involved.

Power in numbers. The UK represent 7.4% ($99 billions) of Germany's export, and 7% ($35 billions) of France's exports.

However, 50% of the UK imports (£228 billions) (and exports, £144 billions) comes from the EU, so essentially their hurt would be spread over a much more managable area than ours.

The bigger parter in any trade deal can throw their weight around. That's why America often gets its way.

In 8 years:

2 BMWs - costly as f*ck
2 Toyotas - cost virtually f*ck all

You chuck yer girlfriend even though you had some good times because she is a bit bossy and sometimes has too many of her pals coming over to the flat but then you moan at her and call her 'a bully' after you move back in with yer parents because she won't bend over to help to pay the rent they are charging nor with your bachelor food bills.

Or.... you finally chuck yer girlfriend who dazzled you with her amazing jugs and stellar blowjobs but then turned into a nagging bitch asking you for money all the time, tried to change you and bringing round her dodgy mates who made a mess of the flat when all you wanted was a quiet life with someone you got on with and didn't take the piss. You then went back to your original girlfriend who wasn't so demanding or unreasonable.

And they all lived happily ever after, except the girlfriend you chucked, who slowly went to pieces and finally had a complete and irreversible breakdown.

Pretty much. Its odd that they weren't bullies when we were part of the EU and negotiating trade with other countries.

Independence, means having to w**k yourself off, or paying for the privillage, rather than getting a lazy hand lob or blowy from the slightly disinterested missus.

Now you might be able to get a blow job on the open market, but you'll have to earn every single one of them now.

Being positive and buying English/Welsh is surely better than whingeing on Facebook or starting up an online petition for a 2nd referendum?

Shop at Aldi then. They stock British produce. Oh hang on they are German aren't they.
