Izzard is freak! There was no homophobic comments stated within the press reports. If a man comes to a football match dressed as a woman then he gets what he deserves. He will be more at home in Brighton maybe he should go and follow the Albion.

I think I would be more at home at Br13hton if all Palace supporters thought like you.

Thankfully they don't, grow the f*** up.

The articles fails to mention that Izzard came to the match dressed up as woman in heels!!! lets be honest coming to a football match in drag with 90,000 people the majority of whom have been drinking all day is asking for trouble! I think he/she/Izzard got away very lightly and could have easily been beaten up and is now seeking attention and publicity from the media! I have no sympathy whatsoever!!!

It's not very often that we hear from the 1950s

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!

some people think that a man dressing up as woman is not acceptable and I for one wouldn't want my children seeing that and thinking it is the way to behave and act. If he wants to be like that he can do it in his own home or whatever establishments he frequents where it is acceptable. Izzard showed no respect or consideration for others and knew exactly what he was doing.

No reference to the man who caused this incident? Singling out a 'trouble-maker' would be my first port of call tbh, but hey, each to their own.

Along with many, I feel truly sorry for your kids.

Time to move forward together.

Eddie Izzard has, it seems to me, demonstrated that he is a man of courage, traditionally thought to be a masculine feature.
He has been able to publicly display his wish to express his femininity, (not an easy thing to do) and has done this extraordinary marathon feat in the soaring heat of South Africa.
So hornbreaker13 doesn't want his children to see him wearing painted nails etc.....so be it, but to be honest who gives a damn what he thinks (he doesn't seem to have too much upstairs), pity his kids, hope they don't discover they have a need to express some identity conflict, however sadly they are being influenced right now by some simpleton ideas, hope they find alternative influences.

Eddie isnt gay so how is anyone being homophobic.
Some on hear acting like its normal for a man to dress up as a women make me laugh. Come on its a bit strange.
Nobody deserves to be abused for it but lets not get carried away here, Eddie chooses to dress that way at a football match and must expect a bit of banter. If he wasnt famous there would be threads on here taking the piss about the Palace fan in high heels and with a hand bag.

True. Amazing how stupid some people are.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I can't think of many things less funny than a man dressing up as a woman to get a laugh. Apart from mime artists.

That'll be Charlie Chaplin then.

Izzard of course does not dress up to get a laugh, he just dresses up.
