I don't know why but this thread is actually quite funny. Made me laugh a few times.

My bug bear is writing things in yellow, I presume so you can say something you shouldn't..

Why?

And "good post" just because a post confirms what you think anyway and has nothing to do with how good the post actually is.

No. If a poster confirms what I think then it is obviously a good post. If we had a thumbs up then this wouldn't be necessary and would save about 8 keystrokes.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Dead

There ought to be a whole separate board on this site for dead people. That way we would solve two things

1) No one would get excited by a thread titled "Bono" and open it only to find that he's done something boring like purchased a new woolen hat.

2) Anyone who would prefer to be eased very gently into bad news about a celebrity's death, presumably via BBC Breaking News or Facebook being awash with "RIP Floella Benjamin" type status updates, would be able to avoid finding out about it in such a hard hitting news format such as a Crystal Palace forum.

Actually, it'd save 9 keystrokes. 4 for each word and 1 for the space in between. And no, clicking a thumbs up wouldn't be classed as a keystroke.

Edited to increase level or irritation

May I suggest "This vv"

Could be an interesting alternative, and I like the total lack of control in terms of who's opinion you're endorsing. Makes me feel alive.

I will try forthwith.

This vv

Yeah, they are tossers. Also ones that mention nipples even when the thread isn't in the slightest bit to do with nipples. Big pointy ones. Mmmm.
