Just re-read the thread that dare not speak its name. The posters who jumped in and blamed refugees look like right tits. Again.

I think Migrants were being blamed not refugee's

...... and on Radio 4 this morning they had a German spokesperson who admitted there had a been a cover up by the police and the State broadcaster.

News had deliberately been suppressed because of the possibility of a right wing backlash.

I imagine Merkel didn't want to look stupid either because she championed the strategy to flood Germany with immigrants and this story would not help her creer!

Who looks stupid now then Kermit?

I'm still amazed the Chinese are being so lenient with the North Koreans. Maybe still got that little soft spot for the old red commy totalitarian regime.

You do,Hoof. Everyone knows the sex offenders/pickpockets are of North African/Arabic ethnic origin. Migrants if you will. Maybe a gypsy or two as many have a similar hue.

So not refugees, then.

Kermit... you are posting just like you did with Matt..... defensive, entrenched and a little bit off hand.

You tried to imply that it never happened because of the lack of police reports and media indifference.

It happened and was suppressed mate.

Refugees/Migrants/Asylum Seekers/ North African Origin/ Middle Eastern.... call them what you will... I will stick my neck out and refer to them as Muslim.

Save you style of defensive posting for when Matt returns - you can be yourself with me mate.

I have made zero mention of police reports Hoof. You are thinking of a different poster.

So not refugees, then.

That has absolutely no bearing on the way they conduct themselves. If we're going to make wild hypotheses then surely those who'd already left the country were in fact better off and thus would be better behaved.

Okay I'll assume you weren't making that connection, but the truth about who was responsible is yet to be determined, so it could easily be refugees - the police and media were advised to suppress news and detailed information about the event.

In which case, no one is looking silly yet are they?

It could well be some men who used the refugee trail but even if 200 of them did you can't justify the extra persecution of the hundreds of thousands of others whom 1) just want a life lived in peace and safety and 2) because they happen to come from a Muslim culture and which they may or may not adhere to.

And by that I mean tarring them all with same brush to suit an agenda.

Lots of children arrived too don't forget. Innocent kids. If the extreme right had their way they would be targeted for punishment of some kind.

Ah - now we have the faintest admission that it could have been refugees or as you put it "some men on the refugee trail".

No one is talking about persecution of hundreds of thousands....

Just like the gang of muslim taxi drivers over here that groomed underage girls for sex I expect the perpetrators to be investigated, caught and punished and not let off (or not even investigated at first) by the police for fear of causing racial tension.

Not much to ask.

I'd be fuming if I was in ISIS, with all these rapists drawing extra scrutiny.

Are they not? I got the impression that plenty of the usual right-awing suspects on here would have been quite happy for the refugees to have got no further than the Turkish coast. Of course that would have meant they would be cold, depressed and hungry currently and with no future.

Maybe a few by now have realised how bad the situation is in many parts of Syria and that the families have done the right thing by leaving. Especially as their houses and many friends and relations no longer exist.

I think the Jury is out on the best strategy Kermy.

Stay in Turkish Refugee camps or brave the elements over land/sea in pursuit of safety. Many are dying from being exploited by traffickers.

I don't know the answer mate, honestly I don't, but if any of them transgress laws and/or cultural differences on their journeys we should not turn a blind eye to it.
