I think a truce could be achieved if the lazy stereotyping also ceased.
Well up for that.
Gloves off, no holds barred full on fight to the finish! Yay.... bring it on.

Is "Muslim" a race anyway? I know Christians and Atheists aren't considered to be a race. Genuine question. Racism seems to encompass a broad spectrum of things now including hating Justin Bieber fans or not eating salmon. Technically its religious sectarianism, rather than racism, unless of course you hate Muslims by dint of largely being non-white etc. Is there an equivalent of being Anti-Semitic that's applicable to Muslims (Anti-Islamic sounds to generalist).
Incidentally, "Arabs" are also semites...so technically being "racist" about Arabs would make you also an anti-semite... Bur muslims are simply followers of a religion, not a racial group,so,while you could be crass and ignorant and prejudiced if you made a dodgy assertion about muslims, you would not be a racist. I do think there is an irony on here with some of the posters who complain about being simplistically and inappropriately pigeon-holed as racists etc for their comments when, frequently (and this is a general comment not aimed specifically at Hoof) they are among the first to simplistically characterise comments they disagree with as emanating from "the left" (with the left being one unitary belief bloc) which they tend to slag off in an identical knee jerk way to the posts they take such exception to about them.Pot,kettle... Racism has come to be used to describe lots of situations which are not actually racism (though quite often IMO motivated by similar dodgy thought processes),kneejerk prejudice towards E European immigrants or asylum seekers per se being a case in point. As for Part Time James and the dialogue about fish, that may be a load of codswallop or alternatively there might be a time and plaice for it...

For the record I tend to use the term left rather than individually naming all the likeminded on here who always oppose my views. I would have you down as one of the more eloquent, reasonable debaters and relish and enjoy a tete a tete with you. Serial is a tool though and often spouts utter rubbish if he's not brandishing his Racist club/weapon.

Britain First . I don't regard them as Christians, they're religious fundamentalists co-opting Christian Issues for a popularist political agenda, that is little more than an ignorant s**tkicker's interpretation of fascism.

Despite the fact that Turkey is effectively been fighting a war against Kurds for a decade - also mostly Muslim) and supporting Turkomen (also Muslim) factions in Syria? Don't let the religious angle get in the way - what Turkey is and isn't doing is all down to Erdogan and related interests being very dangerous and power crazed. Turkey wants to see the back of Assad and Syria as a functioning state - it's been arming the Syrian "rebels" for ages and there are strong rumours that Turkey was involved in the Chemical Weapons attack that was briefly in the news a while back until evidence mounted that it wasn't carried out by Assad's regime. Turkey has no interest in attacking IS outside of its own borders, as IS are part of the plan to eliminate Assad and Syria. Erdogan has it in for the Kurds big style and there are again very strong rumours that the bombing of a Kuridsh rally in Turkey was state-sponsored. Erdogan is also looking for re-election and to increase presidential powers even further, so looking hard to the electorate is a key strategy too. Nothing to do with religion. Gristle I fear your insight and wisdom might be wasted here.
Guess that makes me a PC, anti semite and self righteous git enabler :-)

Interesting to be Politically Correct, you need to be an anti-Semite? That's a juxtaposition. Anyway they were discussing that Turkish strategy was not religion led. Perhaps it is you who is clouded by religion? Why don't you mind your own Pefwin and let Oliver reply rather than jumping in and twisting, as is a predictable and unnecessary response from you? Perhaps it is you that has not been reading Oliver's poisonous past posts?
My poisonous posts? Don’t you like your Zionist bulls*** being challenged Palestinian Hater? I guess One man's meat is another man's poison

Quite impressive really, providing that much fish in a desert. Although under fishing and wildlife regulations taking 5000 fish so rapidly would have a dramatic impact on the local ecosystem. Probably would warrant a fine under UK Quota Systems. Nope, it was 5 Loaves and TWO SMALL FISH that FED the 5,000. So bugger the quota system!

I bet that argument doesn't carry much weight with the Agricultural and Fishing authorities. 2500 people fed on a single small fish because your the messiah, it'd never stand up, its got Quota fraud written all over it.
