Would depend on who was flying it whether it was acceptable.

Flags are always designed to have embedded connotations and build more up as they are used. This flag has some meanings that aren't representative of us. The HF didn't realise as they adopted it from a different culture. It's now gone Good job, it was nothing special to us Get over it

This flag has some meanings that aren't representative of us. The HF didn't realise as they adopted it from a different culture.

It's now gone

I'd be very interested to know why the owner of the flag chose to hold it up at a Palace match. Flying a flag is necessarily an act of communication, but I can't imagine what connotations the Confederate Flag would have within England or within football.

Most southerners respect the Stars and Stripes as well as the Southern Cross which to them represents a proud history and has nothing whatsoever to do with racism. Ever heard of the duality of the southern thing? Another band from the south, Drive by Truckers, have written extensively about it. Stay out the way of the Southern thing.

It wasn't just the blacks who suffered in the south and even now there is a lot of poverty and suffering for white and black alike. Most southerners respect the Stars and Stripes as well as the Southern Cross which to them represents a proud history and has nothing whatsoever to do with racism.

Ever heard of the duality of the southern thing? Another band from the south, Drive by Truckers, have written extensively about it.

Stay out the way of the Southern thing.

I wonder what they think about it. A pretty pattern in the Red and Blue or the banner that still attracts those of a Southern disposition and all that is about? Remember the effect of remarks by Mr Noads. That could have been the catalyst for Palace's demise before.
