Just curious, but did we have an actual firm and what was it called?

Edited by jdavis121 (31 Jan 2011 8.08pm)

As far as I know we didn't.

There did use to be a handy set of lads from the Croydon Surrey Street market who could mix it though in the 70's.

wilton arms had a firm

They are a bunch of muppets that are about as scary as Julian Clary (what a rhymecrime!).

They were as believable as Frodo was in Green Street.

They did have a website I think... full of fiction and hard looks...LOL

Millwall away 1987 or 88 I think at the old den. Think it was 2-1 to us but hazy on most things except after the game walking down new cross gate about 20 of us get seperated from the rest of the palace and suddenly you heard that miiilllwwaaaalll chant, looked around and there must have been a good 20-30 hoolies led by this very distinctive albino geezer (no he was not Yeti from the Firm!). I'm not proud to say I set some PBs for running that day - I pegged it all the way to Brockley station and didn't look back, one look at that albino psycho put some gas in me alright.

The Den was just a nightmare. We used to give it large inside the ground, and then that horrible realisation hit you just after the ref's final whistle, that you had to go out of there with the natives.

My first introduction to The Den and Millwall supporters was back in the mid 80's when i was about 11/12. My mates dad took me and his son to their FA Cup 2nd Rd clash against non-league Enfield in the Millwall end behind the goal, and there i learnt what all the fuss was about.

The first thing i noticed was this very scary looking adult with long curly black hair staring vacantly ahead. As i looked closer i had to do a double take: where his right hand should have been was instead attached a large black iron hook!

Another thing i experienced that day that i have never experienced before or since was the Millwall fans reaction to the amateurs of Enfield. Normally when a league team beats an amateur side, it's customary for the home fans to politely clap the non league players off. Oh but not our special friends from the docks:

The bewildered Enfield players left the pitch to the kind of hostile reception you'd expect at Galatasray. Mothers were cursed, parentage was questioned and those players were told in no uncertain terms to get back to their day jobs.
