Roys the only manager to keep us in the Premier for 3 seasons, a bigger achievement with minimal investment in the team.
Fulham spent £100m went down
Villa spent £150m probably will go down.

All good things come to a natural end - for my money we are at that point with regards Roy..

Yep he’s done brilliantly on a very limited budget.

Let’s be honest given our activity - or lack of it in last seasons summer/winter transfer windows - many of us were fearing the worst for this season - except Willo of course he was simply seeing/hoping his prediction may come good/true at last..!

But despite all that and having no capable/adequate replacement for AWB, Zaha having a very average season, untold injuries in central defense and no goal scoring forward - Roy and Ray have defied the odds and kept us up comfortably.

But I do think now is the time for change - Personally and no -one has mentioned him I’d take a look at Thomas Frank, if Brentford don’t go up - worked miracles on a very limited budget at a hitherto now unfashionable club.

To refer to a net spend of only £8m does not present a true reflection of the situation.
While I agree Hodgson has not been properly backed he inherited a squad including Benteke, Sakho, Cabaye, Luka, Townsend, PVA, Schlupp that cost in excess of £100m and also had people like Zaha and AWB to call upon.
Hodgson has one way of playing and most opposition managers have found him out.
People will try and defend the indefensible but I won’t be one of them.

No, nor shall I.

Also blowing sunshine up Wilf backside every week when he’s been a shadow of his former self is not getting the best out of him . We can drop him and change our formation from time to time! Things need a good shake up and some tough decisions need to be taken imo!

I’m struggling to see where we go from here. It’s either Roy leaves or most of the squad leaves and we won’t have the money to replace all of them.

Benteke, Zaha, Milo, Riedewald, Meyer, Sakho, PVA will all be looking for transfers and the rest of our squad will stay because no one else will sign them at this level.

We are up s***s creek big style.

PARISH, do your job as chairman and remove this old geezer from his post. And he can take Freedman with him, and as for you Parish, sell the club now or with you we will end up back in the 1st division...

I readily admit to being a joyless old chap who has predicted relegation with some regularity but I am not convinced I predicted relegation in respect of the current season!

Regards Thomas Frank, I have recognised his achievements at Brentford and the 'Easy on the eye' football they play and he as come in to my thinking. The Brentford recruitment setup is worthy of plaudits.

Frank didn't get off to the best of starts lasts season when he succeeded Dean Smith, only winning 1 of his first 10 games.

Recent performances would suggest the bubble has burst . Without passion and belief Palace , are not good enough to stay in this league let alone make progress. That applies to a number of clubs, but it’s Palace ,playing with little to no desire, that is our concern.
In most clubs ,it would be end of road for either manager ,or several players ,one or the other. With Palaces finances Where they seem to be I wouldn’t bank on either. Maybe they think they can pick it up when the new season comes . Which is very worrying as a bad finish of this sort usually leads to no change in the new season. I have a feeling Roy’s pride is where it should be. He will want to get things going again. The players! Who knows.

It has to happen tonight. This crossed a line, he cannot be allowed to subject us to his drivel for a minute longer. Use the 3 games as a chance for a new man to start to work with the squad and work out which of our overpaid old frauds need binning (good luck!). Just pull the trigger

tbh I've not liked him since last season but results meant I had to accept him. Now though, it's all coming apart. Roy Out.

Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome. Yes, time to go.

Could have played the kids for the last 5 games, got the same outcome but may have had a better idea ahead of next season- opportunity lost.

The club are stuck in a tough position now,. Sack him now and have to fund a new manager and lots of signings

or keep him and risk losing any player with a decent re sale values and then have to replace all of them.

In my opinion Roy will be sacked soon.

I will be very surprised if this occurs.
His sole objective is to keep us in the PL and he has done so for three seasons with hardly any money to spend.

He has been offered and accepted an extension to his contract and he is seen as the person to once again preserve our place in the PL given what he has achieved in the circumstances.
