Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I am fully aware of that. It’s the first place that needs to change.

I recognise I am currently out on a limb but that has never concerned me if I can see something is wrong. I wager that in due time it will be seen as divisive and unnecessary and gradually dropped.

I am not sure it’s actually the law, but more a matter of convention. In many cases there is the option “or would you rather not say”.

Nevertheless, I accept the conventions exist and am doing what I recommend anyone to do who disagrees with a law, or a convention. Which is to raise the issue and get it discussed.
