Probably because there are more appropriate things that define him. Like being a male, heterosexual, ex international professional footballer who is now a TV presenter.

Why mention the colour of his skin?

What significance does it have?

how about, ''the most hated British man, among the British people'' ?

Do you read the posts?

Are you purposefully obtuse or just a bit thick?

Both, but substitute very for " a bit ".

You have him now, if he read the post he is thick, if he didn;t then why comment, it's a choice of two

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

No I hadn't forgotten and I agree with you.

I was however making the general point that most entertainment companies will ship their presenters off when they feel they are getting too old and out of touch. I don't think sacking Lawro was a woke thing more "who is this guy, thing".

I did go onto say that the BBC's problem is not shaking up their shows but who they replace them with.

As for Lineker he is untouchable for some reason which I don't get. People watch MOTD for the quality of the football. If the PL became boring like Italy in the eighties I don't care how good the presenter is the public would switch off.

If the BBC had any sense they would let Lineker go, MOTD would continue as it has done for 50 years. Lineker is too expensive and too much trouble with his social media outbursts.

He simply is not worth the trouble, Sky will employ him but once the usual suspects have finished renting their clothes I doubt the BBC will even miss him.

Jonathon Ross paid £5m pa for 2 shows that nobody watched went to ITV on £1m pa and guess what he bombed their as well.

How about, because that would be untrue.

Of course I read the posts. Lawrenson claiming he was sacked for being white is every bit as ridiculous, whether true or not. As would be Lineker claiming to be black, as some seem to think he does. The point is that no one ought to be identified by the colour of their skin whatever it is. That so many do, that the government media and the media also use it, doesn’t make it right. The sooner this means of classifying people is recognised as inappropriate and unnecessarily divisive the better.

If he did anything like that on air, or within 2 weeks of being on air, he would be sacked. Outside of that, and in his own time, he would not be accountable to the BBC, but would beto the law, just as we all are.

You seem to think that skin pigment is the beginning and the end.

'Race' bring far more with it than colour, particularly in politics.
In a Kingdom where 87% of the population are White British, we have an Asian Prime Minister of England, An Asian First Minister of Scotland, A Black leader of the Welsh Assembly and an Asian Mayor of our capital.

You think that this doesn't have significance beyond skin tone?

If you believe that, then you are more of a fool than I thought.

Welcome to the future for White British people. It's already here.

Your response demonstrates the entire problem.

Discussing issues consequent upon racial or cultural attitudes is perfectly reasonable and responsible. If that’s what is meant, say so.

Using skin colour as a determinant is neither accurate or acceptable. People can have black skins but a huge number of different races and cultures. Same with white, brown and every other shade. There simply is no such group as “White British People”. You would include both of us in it, and we are as different as chalk and cheese.

We need to drop such inaccurate terms.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Well the state would disagree, on every form that requests ethnicity one of the options is White British.
