The players need to accept responsibility for poor performances, it all too easy to blame Roy. They all seemed a yard slower than Brighton, didn’t have any bite to their game, just appeared to be going through the motions. If anyone believes Roy sends out players to play so poorly.
If anyone has the stats, it would be interesting to compare that performance to the Everton one, in terms of tackles passes, distance run etc. I am sure they would be way down.

Genuine question. Do you think that Is because they tend to stay in formation which is drilled into them and they don’t know what to do if that system is breaking down? I really don’t know, all I see is a strong defensive shape that struggles to transition from defence to attack. There are always a few players that put in hard yards, Jimmy Mac for one however some look like they are out for a stroll. Bats and Wilf spring to mind.

It would appear that at Beckenham they work assiduously on shape and distances when they are NOT in possession of the ball and perhaps this is given priority over work WITH the ball, accordingly when the team do regain possession they don't know what the hell to do with it !

Our recent two performances certainly make it look like that, Willo.

Also, I sense that the Brighton game has seen a significant sea-change in the attitude of Palace fans on HOL. It's now 5 days since that debacle and in the cold light of day I, for one, am even more angry than when I was watching the game and when I posted my thoughts afterwards.

The game on Saturday could well be one of the most important in Hodgson's Palace career.

I think you're right about the change in our attitude. Enough is enough. But I fear that Parrish and Hodgson won't see Saturday's match as any more important than any other, because they don't care what we think.

Unfortunately this is the reality especially as we cant openly demonstrate how we feel by being at the games.

Plus im glad that weed equalised otherwise its just papering over the cracks. Why cant we win by smashing teams with exciting play instead of the alamo tactics hoping for one minute of brilliance from Ayew...Zaha...??
