If that is the case doesn't it go against SP's intentions to appoint someone who is committed to helping us grow and not someone who sees us as a stepping stone to a better club. Surely if we take on someone because he didn't get the Southampton job then he's just as likely to be off again when a club with a higher standing gives him the come on Agreed just wait until the new Manager is holding up a Palace shirt.

Everything I read says de Boer is suited to Southampton but because Pellegrino is Argentinian like Pochettino they want him instead. That is the main reason. Very odd. We're both going to end up with someone not best suited or suited best to the other club.

I'm not saying that we haven't, although the actual article doesn't mention offering FDB the role. Only the headline does. Not sure how factually correct this really is. I'd still say it is guess work.
