Sounds like a few offers on table for him - so he has choices. I honestly now believe from a competitive level it would be time for him to leave. For Us , he may struggle more & more with injuries & tiredness in a full game week in week out- fresh blood could eliminate this. Also the wages saving will afford us to buy two players who would be younger & eager to step up more so. We can’t be sentimental on keeping on Wilf if Palace are to have an ambition to finish 9th to 12th this coming season. Our ambition to keep surviving in Prem will catch us out one day. I just hope come Jan we are doing well enough Parish doesn’t have to call Roy & let him go with them scramble if for a “survival manager”

I am sentimental however and of course love Wilf so hard to see things objectively. I also worry about our identity/leadership without him but que sera sera I suppose.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

I hadn't heard that Wilf was tying the knot this summer and if its a sudden sort of thing Im thinking he is off to pick up the saudi pound . he got engaged over a year ago, so clearly marriage was always the plan and close season is the only option for a wedding, so maybe no conspiracy

We can still get a good 2-3 seasons out of him so I'm hoping he signs for us

If the identity of Palace's manager were ever going to be a factor encouraging Zaha to stay, then Roy's appointment is the biggest plus that column could get.
