In terms of Lamptey I believe he was mainly a right-back whilst at Chelsea but Brighton play a 3-4-3 system and he is deployed as a wing-back where he can display his attacking threat.Brighton in recent seasons have had attacking right-backs on that side ie Bruno and Schelotto.

Can't say I was happy to see them equalise, but as a similar point I cannot remember before, or ever before seeing possible, that towards the end of a Palace - Brighton game I would almost, almost be disinterested in the actual result. I'm guessing this is predominantly because I cannot recall Palace actually playing any football for the vast majority of 90 mins and therefore it did not feel like an actual game. Wonder what the players say and think about this dross? Anyone stand up to the manager and tell him what we all feel? A few weeks ago we were played off the park at Stamford Bridge - Southampton drew 3-3 there and put the pressure on Chelsea for the winner. Why are we so utterly negative? It is beyond me - think Parish has a word or two with Roy H. about this. At least, I hope.....

A few weeks ago we were played off the park at Stamford Bridge - Southampton drew 3-3 there and put the pressure on Chelsea for the winner.
Why are we so utterly negative? It is beyond me - think Parish has a word or two with Roy H. about this. At least, I hope.....

It was someone I overheard and he isn't a fellow league manager.

They all seemed a yard slower than Brighton, didn’t have any bite to their game, just appeared to be going through the motions. If anyone believes Roy sends out players to play so poorly. If anyone has the stats, it would be interesting to compare that performance to the Everton one, in terms of tackles passes, distance run etc. I am sure they would be way down.
