It is concerning to see a spat of headlines around Wilf but it happens every season. Spurs need to pretend they're big league I did smile when I read that. The club that has been in the Champions League two years running and provided half of the England team in the World Cup semi finals need to pretend that they are big league

Wants to go after Roy said we won't be spending money and just aiming to survive yet again. Wilf isn't the only one bored of this circus, If we stopped spending money in the wrong players we'd still have something left in the pot. Also aiming just to survive every season actually makes me think we deserve to go down, that's no way to plan a season. Just because Roy says that publicly, doesn't mean its our internal target. Realistically, our aim has to be top half. He's managing expectations. We nearly managed it last year despite that start, and its not like our squad is that much worse than last year and we still have loan signings to make even if there aren't transfers. Wilf to Everton makes no sense - Spurs makes more sense from his perspective. Can't see him wanting to go to Dortmund. If we get 70 mil for Wilf you have to say its good business. Would hate to see him go, but a more balanced squad would make more sense.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle If there is any truth in the rumours in multiple news sources I really hope we make them pay. For me no swap deal. Cash only I would love to see Bolasie back but Everton must know something as they haven't given him a chance since the injury. As for Sissoko, Tottenham overpaid and it's about time someone stood up to Levy and made him pay.

I honestly can’t see Zaha leaving until next season I think we will get one more year from him and dependant on how we do will determine if he stays beyond. Plus if he has another great season then we will get top dollar for him. However what does worry me is how quiet he and SP have been throughout this window which makes me wonder if there could be some truth in these reports/rumours. I just wish someone would come out and tell us, in the early days SP was very open and spoke a lot to us fans via twitter etc a bit like the owner of Peterboro but since the FDB debacle SP has gone very quiet. I can’t help feel that not all is well in the ship at present, hope I am wrong but can’t help how the gut is feeling. TBH if we can keep this squad after the window has closed this might actually turnout to be a good window in a bizarre kind of way. Please can someone ITK shed some light. The only thing I have been told is Michail Antonio will definitely be a Palace Player and RLC will be back on loan. Edited by dazza (20 Jul 2018 9.04am)

I heard an interesting fact on the radio before or just after he transferred to spurs that he was only rated a 7 or over if the game was on tv. Not very Palace and not very good anyway. Goes hiding.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle another transfer window and spurs and lesser clubs want Wilf surprise surprise , If we get 70million for him thats great, sooner it happened before the world cup instead of 18 days or so before the window shuts, if he goes its not the end of the world Roy will sort it out,if Yannick comes back thats not a bad thing if its part exchange for Wilf, at the end of the day we need a goal scorer no good having a supply if the guy up front cant score, one good forward will score 20 even without Wilf

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Wilf puts a smile on your face and brings entertainment and for me there are very few players in the PL that do that week in week out. What would we do with £70m? Saints got £75m for Virgil and appear to have splunked it on players that are not good enough (Carillo already sent out on loan after record transfer) while it will be interesting to see how Leicester are without Mahrez. Everton got all that money for Lukaku, threw it around and then spent half a season in the bottom half. We have to say no to any offers this season as we do not have time to transition to life after Wilf. If he really wanted to go he should have laid his cards on the table in May, not three weeks before the season starts. As much as I love him, if he does want to go we have to play hardball and say 'no, you have a four-year contract, you're the best paid player at the club and we need you to stay.'

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle After a normal season I would agree with you. No team is ever a "one man" team. However after our season I think keeping Wilf is paramount. Our only attacking threat, talisman and without him we would certainly have gone down. Originally posted by michaelpearce

Yes I agree. His value was overinflated massively due to a couple of decent games for France in the Euros against relatively average teams (Germany aside).
