Some comments sound as if we're being run badly and on a shoe string budget. Which clearly isn't the case. Personally think fans should be less negative and look at the greatness the club is doing moving us forward. I don't get why people are hating on the Americans, what have they done wrong? Did they dig deep when we need it in Jan? Yes It's like people are complaining about things that haven't even happened yet. Assuming the worse when there record has actually been a positive for the club. Imagine if the rumours are true and we beat West Ham in singing Inheancho.... Apparently an attacking midfielder from turkey is a done deal. What else is being worked on in the back round... Who knows.. But we do know Parish works with a huge amount of privacy surrounding him which is for the good of the club to get things done without interference from other clubs and agents. Why why why we dig him or the Americans out I have no clue. But it's not very supportive to read IMO. I moaned about the process it taking but this post puts it into perspective. Good post

I have given up wanting a decision tomorrow as it were. No signs that any decision is imminent. Main thing is, surely, is to get a manager anda coaching team in place for preseason in early July? Apparently SP is out of the country at the moment.

'The past is the past' is a complete cop out as well. The past is the only evidence we have to go on, and the evidence so far with managerial appointments is that we take our time but people are generally happy with the result. We're a 'rudderless ship' who've already secured our best player to a massive contract extension that will see him here for at least next year, and if he does go it will be for an eye-watering amount of money.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

Steve Parish is apparently out of the country so there must be a plan/ contingency plan in place.

I have been as impatient as anyone, but then I have had to reflect that: he is very smart h and very experienced now (probably TOO experienced for his own comfort in getting a new manager in); He loves Palace and wants probably more than any of us for the club to prosper; He likes to do things privately outside of the glare of publicity; his main priority is surely to get the right man and right team in ready for preseason training and there is still time to do that. I should get a life and enjoy the summer weather!

Why why why we dig him or the Americans out I have no clue. But it's not very supportive to read IMO. You have selected part of a discussion, out of context, and gone into a pointless rant. The discussion related to reports that the US investors are in disagreement with Parish over the choice of manager because they want Dyche and he doesn't. The reason for their choice being that he works on a shoestring budget and they want to rein in spending. There are separate reports that Dyche is unsure about the Palace job due to a proposed lack of transfer budget. I was careful to couch my comments in terms of if either or both of these reports were true. I have also pointed out that Parish had indicated that transfers were to be Sakho plus one, if Sam had stayed, which equated to around £40m; a decent sum in my view. If the US investors are now wishing to spend less than that, then there is legitimate cause for concern. Perhaps next time, you should check the whole story before you start hammering away at your keyboard. Edited by bexleydave (22 Jun 2017 6.32am)
