Long term though,we cannot continue to play in this style and prosper in this division. If we are honest we would love Palace to be able to play like Brighton did and dominate games as in the long run you will win more games than you lose playing that way.Unfortunately we need a root and branch change to our squad and a new manager with fresh ideas, but where’s the money coming from?

That clearly isn't true though. A glance at the league table will tell you that.

I've had to go and find the cat. I kicked him into the field at the back of my garden, but typically I missed my target. A Palace fan walking past found him and come in my garden for the first time ever and put him back through the cat flap

More homo eroticism on North Stand Chat.

Absolute nonsense. Rope a dope was employed against a world class opponent where Ali knew he was able to withstand an onslaught. If he'd managed a mere too touches against Foreman he would have lost.

Brighton are not a world class opponent and their lack of ability to finish and our two goals from two touches were nothing more than luck from a team with good quality underperfoming players and a clueless manager.

Haven't read all the posts, but thought I'd mention my agreement regarding Ayew. He ran himself into the ground, but still had the energy to make the last minute run and pass to Andross. He was winning headers at the near post when defending corners, and giving us an out option, even if we didn't always get it to him. Wish he would smile at least once though.

Cahill was also huge. Blocking everything, and winning aerial balls all night.

Tyrick also seems to be settling in a bit. He defended much better, and also tried to get forward when possible.

Beginning of the season Ayew looked out of sorts. Last few games he seems to have got his mojo back. One of the hardest working players we've ever had on his day. Good to see him run his heart out.

They are a funny bunch those Brighton fans. The ‘Potter Out’ lot genuinely think that their squad is the dog’s bollocks and just need new management. They noted that, aside from Zaha, they wouldn’t have any of our players. I am pretty sure that player for player we are better than them in every position right? Part of the frustration this season is that we aren’t really doing better considering the talent we do have.

I know we have. You all saw what happened. But the proof was Benteke correctly hitting a volley for his goal. In this universe I may well win the lottery.

Well if its 2nite we will see you in the boardroom quite soon I reckon

I’m probably alone in this, but I think Benteke’s general play is quality. Just a shame he went off the goal scoring boil. We are a better team when he plays

I have said similar; Benteke seems to kind of ‘work’ in our system. I think he can’t always start if he is going to be our main striker or goal threat (as he probably won’t score) but I think he has a future as a squad player and gives us options. The other players seem to like him too.

Laughter the best medicine.
One man's humour is another man's horror I'm afraid. That really is all you can do to cancer.
Laugh in its face.

I know anti-football won but who gives a sh*t - it was a brilliant game, two fabulous goals, and a massive wind-up for our rivals - the only other comparable travesties I can remember are England 1 Poland 1 ('73) and Villa beating Bayern in the European cup final 1-0. You've got to just love that win - hilarious. And I really don't have any truck with 'with the players we've got we should be higher up the league' - SJ's been saying this on Talksport and others on here - we have several expensive players with impressive profiles and pedigrees, but too many of them are crocked, past their peak or both. We're punching above our weight - last night's performance should make that clear, we weren't going to win that game any other way than by nicking it.
