In an ideal world a billionaire would buy 100% of the clubs shares but keep Parish on as an employed CEO would has no shares (well maybe a minimal amount to guarantee his performance) and just pay him a salary to run the club day to day. All major decisions would have to be run past the owner behind the scenes.

I wonder if the yanks will ultimately analyse it all and decide that their only option is to double down.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

He (Roy) added: "I spoke to the American owners when they were over when we played Bournemouth and they were very much on board as well. "So it's a question really of making certain that we do our work and we find our targets and we work hard to get those targets. "I believe that everyone in the club is on board with the fact that we do need reinforcements in the transfer window because we weren't able to get it in the previous transfer window." Seems a bit more positive than the previous quotes. Perhaps the calling out of the Americans after the Brighton game rattled some cages, especially given his comments were cut from the post-match press conference on the club's website. My expectations are more Borini and less Morelos now though!

Alas, unless we offload Zaha our options in the striking department will be limited given the prices they command.

Hodgson admitted previously that we went for the Russian lad in the summer but it was turned down. He didn't say how much we offered but it was suggested the offer was £20m+. Freedman also stated we made offers for players but were put off by over-inflated prices. It is hard to tell how much money we have and whether much has changed since the summer, but I worry that our rather fortuitous position has put a dampener on any winter outlay. Borini does fit the workmanlike attitude that Roy likes, but surely he would just be another Ayew? Ho hum.

Terrific work ethic in matches as well as in training.I am led to believe he is a very good professional and a terrific character. He was Brendan Rodgers' first signing at Liverpool, I believe for £11 Mill. I believe a Chris Wood, Ashley Barnes or Giroud would be good fits in our system.Hodgson does like a target man in his side. Edited by Willo (21 Dec 2019 1.34pm)

gone a bit quiet on this one - is there anybody out there? The day someone purchases our club they will do their due diligence — and finished. It will happen like Manchester City. By the time the media find out, it's already complete.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Potential takeover' by bexleydave Mods could you please merge with previous thread. Thank you I know posters, understandably, take information from "sources" with a pinch of salt. However I had a conversation last week with a chap who has worked several times with the son of the Israeli (Ofer?). Apparently they are keen to buy the club and due diligence is being carried out now. They live in London and have numerous business interests including property developments.

Are you referring to Idan Ofer, who owns the majority of Portuguese club F.C. Famalicão and a third of Atlético Madrid?
