This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle It's the parasites called agents that stir most of the sh1t regarding their star clients as they smell big money. I am certain we will lose Wilf sooner or later but please not to Everton or Spurs. Wilf is good enough for the likes of Man C, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid so why the feck should Everton think they are a big enough lure for Wilf.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I honestly can’t see Zaha leaving until next season I think we will get one more year from him and dependant on how we do will determine if he stays beyond. Plus if he has another great season then we will get top dollar for him. However what does worry me is how quiet he and SP have been throughout this window which makes me wonder if there could be some truth in these reports/rumours. I just wish someone would come out and tell us, in the early days SP was very open and spoke a lot to us fans via twitter etc a bit like the owner of Peterboro but since the FDB debacle SP has gone very quiet. I can’t help feel that not all is well in the ship at present, hope I am wrong but can’t help how the gut is feeling. TBH if we can keep this squad after the window has closed this might actually turnout to be a good window in a bizarre kind of way. Please can someone ITK shed some light. The only thing I have been told is Michail Antonio will definitely be a Palace Player and RLC will be back on loan. Up the Palace Edited by dazza (20 Jul 2018 9.04am)

Up the Palace Edited by dazza (20 Jul 2018 9.04am) I'm quite pleased that Parish is keeping his cakehole almost shut this summer. Shame Roy hasn't done the same but perhaps he's trying to talk down the price of our targets. It is concerning to see a spat of headlines around Wilf but it happens every season. Spurs need to pretend they're big league but with that new stadium to finance I cant see how they can afford to buy him or give him a pay rise. As for Everton? Come on... No, the real threat is Chelski - if Hazard goes to Madrid then I will be very concerned as they can afford to match our valuation and give him a payrise. The Antonio rumour is very strong, isn't it? At a good price that is a fantastic bit of business - all of my Spammer mates think he's great. Personally, I reckon we need a central midfielder in the mold of Joe Allen. Otherwise seems like we're going to give youth a chance. Bravo - we've been calling for this - if Wann Bissaka can step up maybe a couple of others can too.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Seems to me me like a domino effect ! Zaha apparently turn down new contract, Hodgson Apparently not extended his contract yet ! No Signings yet apart keeper ! All waiting for Boards commitment. I know budget right but it won’t help us . If Zaha goes now we are not going to be in good shape .Should have all been sorted end of season .

But as you know, central midfield isn’t a place for a youth player in this league. Parish has been good at hiring the obvious managers available at the time (even Pardew because of the abuse), plus tbf Roy although I doubt anybody else wanted the job considering the summer mess and beyond. Parish is also great at signing the odd player at huge prices but now the lack of a strategy and scouting has caught up with him and us and explains the silence. I don’t actually expect much of a statement but I expect some logical signings or a lack of obvious reasonably priced ones that effectively relegate us. We’ll see. This is when Parish earns his ‘wage’, rather than recruiting from a Premier League sticker album at premium prices, same as Pardew.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I know I'll get slaughtered for saying this, but would it be the worst thing in the world to sell wilf for 70 mill. It worries me that we rely so heavily on one player, as it seemed last season. If we were to sell him for 70 mill we could strengthen the whole team and make us less dependent on one player. It seems pretty obvious we don't have s lot of money to spend, so we will be heavily dependent on him again if he stays. So what happens if he breaks his leg against an over enthusiastic Fulham side.

Sure at some point he’s going to leave but I’d rather he left at the start of a summer, unless there is a plan to deal with the aftermath of Wilf’s departure. It’s not only how good he is but how useless Benteke is. Wilf makes up for this. With Benteke still here and Wilf gone I fear the worst.

It only takes one bad tackle and that’s it. Look at Oxlade-Chamberlain out for over a year, Bolasie out most of last season, Wickham out indefinitely it seems. It seems he wants to go, bit like Ian Wright did, there is nothing a club can do to keep them.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Wants to go after Roy said we won't be spending money and just aiming to survive yet again. Wilf isn't the only one bored of this circus, If we stopped spending money in the wrong players we'd still have something left in the pot. Also aiming just to survive every season actually makes me think we deserve to go down, that's no way to plan a season.
