It's only a last minute activity when a club is in panicking mode. We're not in that category. The Wilf situation muddies the waters because of the financial implications. I would expect that to only affect the player who might be at the bottom of our list of intended targets. Dougie was monitoring Eze, OLise and Guehi for many months before we bought them in (No, I'm not ITK - the club have publicly acknowledged that). Having said all that - make your mind up Wilf!

We will undoubtedly have been working on identifying the players we might like to bring in for many months now. It's only a last minute activity when a club is in panicking mode. We're not in that category.

Zaha has been a great servant to the club, and he deserves respect for that and to do things in his own time and way.

In some ways I see parallels in the situation of Zaha and Neves at Wolves. Well he chucked in a transfer request on the dawn of the season a few years ago. Then his brother came out in the press and said that after all he'd given us we owed him a transfer to his dream club Arsenal.
