This post has been merged from a topic called 'Is there money problems at the Palace?' by bexleydave Everything points to not enough cash.. AWB had a great season and half, but did we rush to up the lowest salary.. no!! and hes gone to Utd.... Undervalued by CPFC Luka wants to go, on 50% of what many others are earning and hes our Captain and ice cool penalty taker. I had wondering about his "body language for a while" and why should I calm Zaha down when he earns twice as much as me!!Undervalued by CPFC, why not pay him more?? Zaha wants to go, he knows what going on in the club?? We have American owners who want out and there investment back. Now we have signed Cahill and he will be on more than Luka"!! Now we are to buy another Sick note in McCarthy What other cheap deals are being done??? Its my team, I will have grin and bear it in my 51st season!!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Is there money problems at the Palace?' by bexleydave where have you been? of course there are money troubles AWB fee will just about clear the current directors debts - mostly bought about by the high fees for Benteke (who will now be a total financial write off) and Sorloth 80% of the income has been going on wages that does not leave enough for the rest of the running costs let alone new transfer fees the USA shareholders are trying to sell - but so far no buyers there are plenty of threads where this is discussed in detail

Would you invest in CPFC knowing SP will remain as chairman?

Everything you say might be true, equally none of it might be. I'd bet on the latter. How do you know the club haven't tried to extend/improve Luca's contract and he has rejected it?

If the owners had a better clue they would of gotten rid of him in that role based on how poor he has done on that side of things. this is the issue i see with new owners they dont want this type of setup so again SP is in complete control just how he likes it. I have no issue with him owning a % of the club but he is involved in way to much and the whole having all his little sub companies taking cuts as well from the club the guys milking us.

Wilf, has now put in transfer request according to Skysports, so he is clearly not happy and if that is correct, the madness of Parish continues because if Everton have really offered 70mil + McCarthy and Tosun then that is well above the 80mil he wants, as it stands what is the point of forcing someone to stay when they are not happy that never works for anyone!

Simple answer to the above... Nobody wants both of our best players going in one season? The logic may be to hold out until next season and to sell him then, as it seems next season will be a season quite a few contracts run out. Lots of players are going to be past it and the squad will need an overhaul. That's just my opinion. As for this being Parish fault..... not sure how Zaha handing in a transfer request a day before the window closes is anyone but Zahas fault. If anything, it's idiotic and he should've handed in a request a lot sooner. Even with the promise of a move, would you sell Zaha for way under what he's worth when the likes of Maguire have sold for £80 mil.....Parish would be lynched even more than he is on this forum. (Not saying he's done everything correctly as we can all admit he's made mistakes..) Zaha at the end of a transfer window when cpfc has the strength of not selling him... would be an utter travesty if we under sold him. Why should CPFC have to sell brilliant players on a cheap? CPCFCwetrust Zaha may not of been interest had we done some proper reinvestment in players but look at what we have done and are linked to nothing special at all if I was him i would want out. Our club is a complete mess SP has to go. I see we are getting desperate now offering even more money to players we had failed bids so yet again looks like paying over the odds. We have missed out on so many people the market this transfer window had many options and we have taken none of them. I suppose in SP eyes the money for Wilf and Aaron will be nice amount to put towards his new stand or the owners will get it all which it looks like that is going to be the case filling their pockets. If I was Roy I would walk clubs a joke.
