Totally understand clubs occassionally need to sell to top up profits and to organically move the squad round. But you said it yourself, high fees on certain areas, not creating depth, bleeding money through managerial changes, it will hit you. That's why i think it's a shame as in hindsight, not necessary - pardew should have been gone after FA cup and at least we would have not had the merry go round of Allardyce, FDB then Roy. anywyas hindsight is the word. However, now really is the time to sell wilf. We could have a shocking season and go down, he could be injured, we could be flying high and come december he shows he wants to go and then all down hill. He's gone next summer so why delay the inevitable. Edited by Vaibow (20 Jul 2018 12.11am) Agree apart from selling Wilf now unless Roy is confident he can deliver the short, medium and long term survival with the funds with THREE WEEKS LEFT IN THE WINDOW!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a joke that a after 6 years in the prem we are in the situation where we need to sell our best player to kick on. It should be built around him. Here you say you want us to build the team around him and the next post you say we need to sell him and cash in now... No way we’re gonna sell him this window and I personally doubt we’d sell him in the next window or any window unless he says he really wants a new challenge. Enjoy the fact the lad currently wants to be a palace legend.

Edited by Vaibow (20 Jul 2018 12.11am) We had a shocking season. It is called 2017/18. The initial manager did not fit team. That takes a while to recover from. As a Palace fan, why wouldn't you want to see him play for your club as long as possible. Over the past 50 years, I'd say along with Wright and Rogers he has been our most exciting player

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle He might well feel unimpressed by the lack of ambition shown by Palace in another transfer window ... I expect we all are ... but he's under contract and will stay where he is. The problem will arise when he's run down his contract another year or so.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Whatever the sourcing, my gut tells me that he probably has asked to leave. He probably is concerned about the lack of new players but I would be astonished if he'd expressed that to any journalist directly. Would an agent allow himself to be led down that path? 100% yes, guaranteed. it's a useful justification to position his client as an upstanding sort. if he did go, beyond the replacement issue, there's the question of what other players would think: Luka, Sakho, even Tomkins. Their chances of win bonuses would get bashed.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

Yawn......... If you believe that clickbait article, then you’re dumber for having read it. No smoke without fire though, and in the last 24 hours his names been appearing everywhere. I don’t think it’s crazy to suggest Wilf may be getting tired of playing a relegation battle every year. My guess would be that he’ll start to make mutterings this summer, with the view of moving on either in January or next summer. The latter most likely. I don’t think for one second he’ll want to ever disrespect the club. But if he does indeed want to move on, there is only so much we could and should do to stand in his way. This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Well if that bastion of truth The Sun says it, it must be true. My only issue is perhaps that the man himself is yet to come out to say I am happy or I am staying as a response to this speculation. Wolf is mercurial but I do worry that if he is unhappy his form may dip. If he really wants to go let him. He can always come back.
