Spot on. He got absolutely no service but the 2 decent balls that came his way, he won a peno and scored what would have been an absolute cracker if he had of ran a mili second later. He has to start from now on. In the freeze frame, the ball was blurred, yet it was judged offside by a tiny margin. I'm not sure how they can call it definitively offside, when you cannot determine the exact moment when the ball left the passing players foot. Doesn't detract from an abysmal performance where we were very lucky to get the first penalty. Bat's did a good job getting the wrong side of Lamptey and Lamptey shouldn't have gone into the back of him using his hands. Well bought from clumsy defending.

Dyche is unarguably more attack minded than Roy - he’s just direct. Their approach is about getting balls into the box, and invariably these leads to chances and goals. They’re also far more dangerous from set pieces. If you can find it have a look at the thread from when they beat us at Selhurst last year.. they played us off the park. They also have a vastly inferior squad to us on paper. I don’t disagree with that assessment - a more attack minded manager would get a lot more out of Bats, Eze, Benteke, Zaha and Townsend and a few others. Defence may not be as strong though with less cover? In truth as much as I love us being in the prem the matches at the end of last season together with the last two have been truly awful to watch. Not sure I can handle watching this type of football much longer unless it’s just a blip? The next 4 matches may just decide Hodgson’s future at the helm?

Parish should have realised to buy a manager like Roy a flare player like Eze is like buying somebody with no musical knowledge a guitar for Christmas

One thing for Dyche though. Surely he would shout at the players and say it outright to the press that our performance was shyte. Sick of hearing 'we were good defensively until they scored...' You want a manager that shouts and slags off his team to the media. There is no need to pay millions for a manager, anyone can do that, you set your criteria very low in your expectations.

Disappointing lack of stats in this post, statto. You could have given us Warburton's win percentage, his inside leg measurement, or any number of delicious stats. Please do better next time.

Apropos Warburton, he is a manager who is not averse to changing formations during a game unlike Roy Hodgson. Edited by Willo (20 Oct 2020 2.34pm)

My personal view is that Hodgson delivers for Parish in that he keeps the club in the PL on a shoestring, in the meantime us supporters are 'short-changed' by having to witness total and utter dross game, on game.As far as the club are concerned the end justifies the means. I suspect that if Hodgson keeps us in the PL this season and wants to continue for another year the club will be only too glad to extend his contract. I fear your forecast is most likely pretty accurate
