For once I tend to agree with you. What happens in private should stay there, unless someone gets hurt. Johnson is already colourful enough for people to form an opinion. I just think it very sad that we have reached such a political low that someone as clearly unsuited to lead should be the front runner in a race to become our PM to be decided by a small group of unrepresentative electors. This isn't British democracy at it's finest at a time when quality was never needed more. I (kind of) agree with you. But when a Prime Minister resigns, it's usual for the governing party to select a new leader who isn't 'elected' - Callaghan, Major, Brown, May, for instance - but becomes Prime Minister by default. In any event, our electoral system doesn't allow for specifically electing a PM anyway, as you know. I'd rather we didn't have yet another Bullingdon tosser but c'est la vie. He's probably the best chance the Tories have of winning a General Election, uncertain as that may be. We shall see. Personally, I wouldn't trust any of our politicians of whatever persuasion to even wipe their own arses properly. Depressing.

Good to see Boris lacks even the basic knowledge of the fundamentals of leaving the EU.
