Well at least we have someone even it’s only our seventh choice and the football might not be as hard to watch as it has been for the last four seasons under Hodgson. Whether we can stay in this league tho will be interesting and now all have to do is go through the transfer rumour bulls*** until the window shuts.

I agree with all this,Vieira knows the premier league inside out having won it three times. Lot of negativity going round about Patrick, but he is a proven winner and won't settle for 2nd best and will have everyones respect. im hoping its his knowledge of french / euro players, outside the prem spectrum that will prove a winner.

Any nee manager would have been a risk Parrish and other owners would not have taken this appointment likely. Plenty of discussion since April apparently. Hopefully learnt from the FDB days and he is given the funds to get this right.

COYP In recent seasons we have had experienced PL managers, in Pardew, Pulis, Allardyce and Hodgson. Today's announcement is a departure from our recent appointments, and of course there will be many supporters who will be in a state of perturbance and fearful of our chances of survival.

I found this extract from the link posted earlier, viz., "Vieira came in to take charge of Les Aiglons in the 2018/19 season, replacing Lucien Favre who left for Borussia Dortmund" more than a little spooky. And "Les Aiglons", Nice's nickname, of course translates as "The Eaglets". It must have been written in the stars...
