Out of interest, has anyone ever bothered to calculate how many cards players pick up on average in a season? Vieira's 7 yellows per season (say, one in every six games) doesn't strike me as out of the ordinary.

Great news this farce is finally over! Six weeks till the season starts, plenty of time to bring five or six new players in so it’s going to be really interesting to see who comes and goes. And I can finally stop worrying!
