W.Ham under Moyes have finished 6th, 7th and 14th in the last 3 seasons and of course have reached the final of the Europa Conference League. Their Net Spend over the last 3 seasons has been circa £220 Mill, last season they bought Aguerd for a fee which could reach £30 Mill,Paqueta for a fee which could rise to £51 Mill, and Scamacca for a fee which could rise to £31 Mill. Palaces inability to over pay for recruits could stop the idea becoming a reality.

West Ham will have something of a rebuild over the summer. Thy are likely to receive £100m for Rice, and I believe they want to try to exit Scamacca with could bring in another £20m+. So then I guess it's whether they let the existing manager oversee that, or bring a new man in. I think Moyes will be staying put.

I'm waiting for the Daily Star exclusive that Parish has whisked Zaha and Roy off to his yacht in Benidorm for a threesome with Paddy holding the camera, only for the gang to re-emerge into the sunlight clutching new deals and a shirt sponsorship deal from a Chinese surveillance company.

One thought - I wonder whether Moyes will be sacked after tonight's match irrespective of whether or not WH win and whether talks have already taken place with his agent. He's got the right credentials to manage Palace (yes I know there is the Wilf issue but the club's future is more important than Wilf). IF, Moyes were to be come manager, that would mean Wilf definetely leaving, look what happened last time(alledgedly).
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I think Roy would of been appointed by now if I'm honest. I won't be disappointed if its not him. In my opinion we need to start planning for the future. Not pinning our hopes on a 78yr old to guide us into 16th place every season. (I only say that as there are definitely Palace fans who would be quite happy with 16th place every season) Roy has come in and done what was needed. I think we also need to remember there were some poor 'old Roy' performances thrown in at the end of last season as well. The last thing we would want is for him to stay and for us to have a terrible start to the season and him getting sacked. The guy will always have a legend status with us. Let us preserve that and let this 78yr old Grandfather enjoy his retirement whilst we start showing a little big of ambition and move forward.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

If it's true that we have little money to spend then I think Roy is the perfect man to carry on.

Roy knows the squad and knows the young players too . We'll know well before the players return for training, whether it's him, Potter or another
