You are correct though, I am not very intelligent or funny however I don’t claim to be.

Will have to disagree with you regarding goalkeepers but please accept my apology regarding the name calling.

beg to differ, thinkVinny would have at least attempted to reflex save bgoal 1, and would not have goal 2 through his legs

Not forgetting that Guita let one through his legs in the last game.
I'm not Wayne's biggest fan but I thought he had a very good game yesterday and didn't attach any blame to him on either goal (if anything, where was Tomkins when the ball gets crossed to their striker in the middle of the goal, but that may be good play to pull him out of position).
It is completely hypothetical to say how Guita would've done y'day, he may have conceded none or he may have conceded 5 we'll never know.
I think we're lucky to have him as no.1 and Wayne as a more than capable reserve goalie.

Anyone who can blame WH for either goal is obviously an obsessed Guaita fan or loathes Hennessey, probably both.

In a mediocre perfomance Hennessey was our best player, and had to be with the confused defence he had in front of him.

WH filled in fine today, we won’t be playing City every week. Get these next few games out of the way and we will be fine.

But I do think Guaita is by far the better keeper...

Haven’t seen the goals on the tele yet, but thought he had a decent game.

Can someone update me please on Vicente's injury? What is wrong with him and any news on when he might return?

A major issue with Wayne is decision making. At 6’5” he is so indecisive that it deconstructs the whole back line as they try to compensate

That is a downside to his game which is apparent in some games more than others. But let's be honest if it wasn't then he'd be a top top keeper and not with us.

As it is he does have his flaws and therefore is our back up keeper. IMO a decent one at that.

Only here to help

“Vicente Guaita has been complaining about a slight groin problem for a period of time,” said Hodgson. “We thought he possibly would recover, but he didn’t. There was a thought we could have taken a risk with him, he was not far off from being fit"

Good to know.

I was member of the 'we need a better keeper than WH' club for a long time and still think we're far better off having VG.

That said, I think he did very well on Saturday which is promising, also off the back of decent international form too so again bodes well. I was pleasantly surprised by his agility, I think he made more acrobatic saves against City then I have seen in his entire time at Palace!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

He’s a good backup keeper who can do a job if Guiata is absent. Nothing more or less to it.
