When Pulis walked on the eve of the season we had a settled squad of determined characters like Jedinak and Delaney to help us through.

Certainly not an ideal situation and one can throw into the mix that Eze who has been so impressive will not be available until 2022. In the final analysis retaining older experienced players was cheaper than selling players with perhaps little re-sale value and buying players who would of course cost a tidy sum of money.Finances have dictated. The aged squad have of course kept us in the PL but now we are into a rebuilding phase. Because unfortunately you always post after it’s hit mainstream media. Take a look at my recent examples. When you’ve got pretty much every prediction wrong you should maybe vett your information a little more thoroughly than making defined predictions. Football fans take info on their club seriously and your recycling of information is not helpful when there’s already a lot of dissatisfaction for the club. If you are prepared to put yourself out there again and again with information then you should be prepared to take the criticism. Your track record is very poor so not sure what you are expecting. It’s obvious Twitter is your source. It’s a shame those on here fuel your ego trip which actually is not helpful for you. No need to keep digging Dazza out. There are plenty of football sites, that post anything that comes into their heads, do you regard them as gospel.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

In the 11 years of CPFC2010 there has only been one master plan with a coherent strategy that has worked and that is the way that Parish acquired the club as per the final chapter in Simon Jordan's book The second master plan that is partway to fruition is the upgrading of the academy to the top status in order to attract and develop the best talent from the local area. Time will tell if this has worked. Most of the other successes seem to be the result of luck in what I have called serendipity management. I was roundly derided years ago when I wondered out loud if we would have been promoted if it wasn't for the happy accident of having a young lad called Wilfried Zaha in our youth ranks. On occasions when we have had to dispense with managers due to the risk of relegation Parish has been fortunate to have anti relegation specialists like Pulis, Allardyce and Hodgson available to hire. Some of the transfer windows have been dreadful leaving us with huge gaps in our squad but by the biggest stroke of luck we have managed to survive. As you can see I am a sceptic when words and phrases like "master plans" and "strategy" are bandied about. If our next manager is to be Vieira and he is successful will it be down to a cleverly thought out strategy or just more of Parish's luck? No one is lucky forever. He hasn’t learned the lessons, we are still making the same old mistakes like this absolute farce of a manager search. You are correct about the one coherent and well executed proper plan being the actual purchase of the club itself all those years ago.

Dazza has faced excoriating assailants, but he has repeatedly asserted that he has only posted the information he has received from sources. I suspect he has posted in good faith, however when the details do not come to fruition on a fairly regular basis, a lack of credibility enters the equation. I know only too well, the picture can change, the ship can be blown off course so perhaps,on occasions, a dignified silence might be advisable. Let's not turn this into a 'Dazza thread'. according to '365' the hold up is all red tape, visa included, it's al being signed today so he's ready to start Monday ... who knows? (you have to scroll down past the transfer news to find it - if you can be bothered)

It's not a rumour as Simon Jordan stated in the final chapter of his book that our whiter than white chairman colluded with the hedge fund to try and put Palace down so that the self styled "reluctant buyer" could grab it. Whilst Simon Jordan probably imparted a wedge of spin to some of his stories the same equally applies to Steve Parish
