You may well be right. after all, the January transfer window is often the one for panic buying by clubs seeking to avoid relegation or those who are falling short of demanding expectations, and prices become inflated. Totally agree. The money men probably cannot believe their luck! I still think Dazza should keep posting and believe KWP was on the cards but why should we allow Levy to take the p*** we are in a position now to tell him to do one.

I think the whole things depends on what happens with Wilf at the end of the season, I don't see the point in doing anything other than some youngsters until we know that
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

And us in that we'll put off any proper signings yet another year because we're waiting on the zaha saga to conclude.

Parish is being very fair with him. Haven't seen one offer yet.

Our equaliser on Saturday was entirely down to him keeping going in the 90th minute.

I would be surprised at any further signings unless they are youngsters with potential. It looks fairly certain that we won’t be involved in any relegation scrap, injured players will becoming back. January isn’t the best window to buy, unless you are desperate.

I have a feeling the KWP deal will go through, but it might be 11 days of quibbling over the fee. We seem to like the fee of £10 million(!), so I reckon we'll pay around that with bonuses for appearances, etc. We still really need a backup winger and it seems unlikely that Banks is seen as first-team ready (if he is indeed joining). Jairo has potentially proven his credentials as a left-back to Roy, so I reckon we won't do anything there. Aside from the KWP deal I imagine it will all come down to whether we can find any quality players at a good price, as I don't think we will be desperately scrabbling around. Getting the Tosun deal done early(ish) was probably the most important deal.

As I understand it he has signed a pre-contract so will join at end of season. We also appear to want him now (so he must be considered capable as at least a bench role). The question is how much over £200K compensation are we willing to pay Tosun I think that it was a loan with option to buy deal. If he is a sucess we will activate this if not but we still fancy him we may do an Ayew and negotiate a better price.

Well I don’t care who on here knows ppl itk , when the manager of a team refers to players returning from injury as being like new signings you know said manager has been told there will be no more new signings through the door until probably and hopefully the summer .

I suspect that you're reading of the runes may well prove correct.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

My thoughts FWIW: We have 30 points. If we win tomorrow 33. As such Parish will think we will have to collapse for us to go down. Conclusion if we win tomorrow I don't think we will see much activity. I would like to see Wickham go on loan to a Championship club to play every week to regain match fitness and hopefully be a key player for us next season as with Tosun, Ayew and Benteke / Andros to return he really won't get much game time here.
