Today's inter-sectional stories on the BBC. Both pretty outrageous pieces of propaganda, even by their Marxist standards.

Only read the one about the paedo dad. What misleading information is in this article? And what political viewpoint is this "misinformation" being used to promote?

Oh, and how precisely is this article promoting Marx and Engles' political and economic philosophy of class struggle and the route from bourgeoisie oppression to a socialist and classless society?

Have to agree with you but it’s easy to ignore the rest of this long thread by picking out one or even several posts that are inconsistent or simply don’t make sense. I know many people who will no longer pay a licence fee to a state broadcaster pushing a specific intersectional ideology.

I thought this was a corker by the way:

See if you can work out why.

The public sector equality duty is enshrined in law and effects all areas of government, the NHS, universities etc and, significantly for the purposes of this thread, the BBC. while I will argue the beeb is like the Times - pro establishment of whatever colour is in power- albeit one staffed by lefties - if you want to know why the corporation is so painfully inclusive, it's because it is legally required to be.

When it comes to Marx, most people look at his economic theories but his view of the world essentially was about the oppressor versus the oppressed.

Marx said in The Communist Manifesto: "Freeman and slave, patrician and plebian, lord and serf, guild-master and journeyman, in a word, oppressor and oppressed, stood in constant opposition to one another, carried on an uninterrupted, now hidden, now open fight, a fight that each time ended, either in a revolutionary re-constitution of society at large, or in the common ruin of the contending classes."

He actually spoke about changing society (with his arguments used in China, N Korea, Soviet Union etc) and not just in economic terms. It may now have gone from these countries but today cultural Marxism exists in the the US and UK in academia, science and the media, ie the BBC.

So blacks and Muslims are oppressed by the whites and Christians, women are oppressed by men, transgenders are oppressed by cisgenders etc. Western civilisation is the oppressor and must be taken down, Britain is seen as the colonial oppressor and the EU must keep them in check, while Israel is seen as the oppressor in the Middle East and must be toppled etc.

The BBC promotes this narrative every, single, day and I list examples on this thread about this, including its anti-Israel, anti-Republican stories but mainly the totally random articles about individuals with a minority group identity and their fight for social justice.

Even if you agree with all the intersectional bollox how can an “equality duty” be applied across a choice of 4 people. Could they not find a transgender explorer somewhere or revise the gender history of Shackleton or Cousteau? This Tower of Babel falls down very easily doesn’t it? There is nothing so strange that a liberal couldn’t make it up.

Also more importantly it just doesn’t explain the bias in the almost exclusively “liberal” (Marxist) intersectional opinion pieces and so called features. The BBC has gone so far left it’s now moving into the decidedly dodgy area of anti white and anti male propoganda.

Wouldn’t mind so much if I wasn’t paying for it.

I also find it ironic that these people still seem to think they are rebelling agianst something i.e.’“The Establishment” when that’s all they have been for about the last 30 years.

Remember, it's the oppressed women vs the male oppressors.

Given the present state of the imperialist west, with the USA, UK and France seemingly paralysed, we may well wish to consider other systems.
