Actually, the story is a bit more complex, but the police pretty much seemed to do everything right in the Korryn Gaines case.

As a matter of fact, she fired on the police, and was shot in return, I don't think anyone by the most 'ideologically wedded person' would consider the event questionable. Of course there will always be those who will use any event to pursue an agenda, or simply don't trust the police at all.

But on the face of it, you couldn't really ask for a more justified shooting by the police, or better procedure (secure the area, isolate the suspect, negotiate and only resort to lethal force when the issue is pushed by the suspect).

BLM evil, I think that's just pure hyperbole. BLM doesn't seem to be a structured organisation, but a social media movement (I was trying to find their home page etc - and they don't seem to have an official statement).

Still, it should involve an independent enquiry, even when its seemingly obvious what happened.

But surely you understand that disapproving of BLM, and recognising there are serious issues with police brutality towards black citizens, are not mutually exclusive viewpoints?

I think disagreeing with BLM for the reasons you've highlighted throughout is a perfectly valid opinion. I think making out there is no problem with the way police treat black people in America, just because you don't like BLM, is not.

If there is a problem in America with police and blacks... The answer isn't to point at the police and say you have a problem when black people commit 25x more crime than any other race.
If you commit crime, you're more than likely cross paths with law enforcement, the more often you commit crime the more chance you have of meeting a copper that is a wrong un. Just imagine if white people committed 25x more crime than black people in Jamaica... They'd be riots.
I know loads of black people (family and friends) that are concerned about the amount of crime black people commit... It's only the regressive (mainly white) left that think it's not a problem.

And I haven't once argued that there is no problem with criminality in the black community - but again, the two aren't mutually exclusive viewpoints.

Both parties (police and citizens) share blame - highlighting one doesn't disprove the other.

You seem to think it's fine for police to do what they want with someone if they break the law - that's a very worrying mindset imo.
