There must be something flawed in the human condition to follow dictators and populists.

Look at all the troubles they have caused.

What ridiculous figures they are yet people blindly follow them.

When its all up with them, their followers desperately cling to absurd reasoning to cover their complete inability to see that they have simply just been had from the start.

Problem is we all know every politician lines there pockets publishing tax returns dont prove they ain't lining there pockets in other ways so the pretending thar Democrats are moral and trump isn't is a lie. All I know is Dems are probably going to cause a war like they usually do and the system will revert back to how its always been before trump robbing everyone but with a smile on there face instead. That being said I still think trump will win.

That's simply untrue. That some lack integrity and are only in it for themselves does not mean that all, or indeed most are. Strange though you might find it there are people who devote their lives to public service and seeking to make our lives better.

If you feel safer under Trump then you are deluded. Continue down the path he is treading and the destination looks like the war which will end all wars. And us. Not involving ourselves in protecting democracies and resisting dictatorships is hardly going to advance the lot of the poor and needy either, is it?

I know we have internet, but we get very little meaningful coverage on the TV in the UK of the US election. Quite difficult to gauge campaigns and public opinion from partisan media sources.

If you trust the unregulated internet for news over the regulated MSM then you deserve to be uninformed.

The truth is all there. You just need to read a balanced selection. It isn't to be found in the opinions of all and sundry writing whatever they like on social media.

America was a country founded on not paying their taxes. Unlike the UK, any major figure who doesn't will get a a thumbs up from a large number of voters who think it's their birth right to avoid taxes.

On this scale? At this time?

Some of his hardest of the hardline supporters maybe.

A few of his supporters most affected by the crisis and his response to it, maybe not.

Those few waverers in the middle, unlikely.

It will have an impact and any impact is going to make a difference.

Leaked just before the first debate.

Direct election interference....huge hypocrisy from the usual slimes.

It's not election interference unless it's untrue!

It's elector information if it's true.

Is it true? It has all the appearance of being true. Many previous stories and established facts support it. If found to be untrue the consequences would be catastrophic for the NYT, whose fact-checkers, lawyers and editors would all be implemented. I don't see them taking such a risk. Trump's response also adds weight to the likelihood it's truth. If it was not then there is simply no impediment, audit or not, to him releasing them and proving they are untrue.

That their release has been timed to produce the maximum opportunity to damage him is undoubtedly true. If you are convinced, as I am, that his removal is an imperative, then choosing that timing is a duty.

Funny you say that because that is exactly true of the Left. You wreck everything and then blame everyone else.

Do you genuinely believe any rich people in any country of the world, pay their fair share of taxes? How can you leak something everybody who isn't totally ignorant already knows. I hardly think we have the whole of Trump's accounts so it's still mostly just supposition. I don't suppose that he has several companies to siphon his taxes through - for example the way Crystal Palace and Steve Parish do? Are you going to condemn them?
You have never dodged any taxes in your life, I'm guessing too. If I could get away with it, I certainly would. Why should all the dossers get my money for doing sweet FA? That's the way many feel about it.

Albeit, I wish there weren't so many tax loopholes for the rich and for corporations. In lesser news, the EU is appealing the Apple tax case with Ireland: about the only thing I would support the EU on.

I accept that the rich employ tax and business structure experts whose sole purpose is to legally minimise their client's taxation burden.

This though is different, for two reasons.

Firstly Trump is no longer just a "rich businessman". He is President of the USA. All the recent incumbents have released their returns. All were under audit at the time. None had huge debts, personally guaranteed other than Trump. He could easily have avoided this by simply releasing them. That he didn't gives the appearance he has something to hide. Which seems justified.

Secondly is the scale. To have paid nothing at all for so long, and then very little for two years, isn't going to appear "smart" when so many are suffering.

I certainly have mitigated my taxation, after taking expert advice, by postponing some, but have never "dodged" any. There are things revealed by the NYT which appear to be potentially illegal and certainly politically questionable.

Your only ambition is to see the return of business as usual for the corrupt cabal that previously ran America from the top. They will stop at and have stopped at nothing to try and regain power. They will use and discard the useful idiots as they go.

You don't see it do you Mr useful?

You do you regard as the "corrupt cabal"?

I don't see one anywhere, except in the fevered imagination of the right.

I do see a system no longer fit for purpose in which Presidents can be elected with a minority of the popular vote, interest groups can buy influence through the need for politicians to raise ridiculously large amounts to campaign and where the judiciary are appointed by politicians rather than by their peers because of their competency and where their political views remain personal.

For decent people who seek high office with integrity having to operate in such an environment must be both frustrating and challenging.

Worse than that. Hypocrites of the highest order, only interested in their own vanity of supposed 'protest'. They spend decades proclaiming how evil the US is for instigating invasions and wars in the Middle East and when we finally get a President who actually does something to change that, all they can do is go down on thier knees and proclaim how much they want the very people they expended so much energy on calling warmongers running the show again.

They are beyond contempt. Morally and intellectually bankrupt. I detest them with such a passion now that I fear there can never ever be common ground and I actually welcome that.

But it will be OK if they vote your man in?

Don't make me laugh.

Trump is the only US president in living memory to not cause a war do you just outright accuse him with nonsubstance to back up your claims.
