so i an waiting for some body to tell my why we are f***ed, but nobody has.

we have a squad that finished mid table bar AWB...that doesn't mean we are f***ed, far from it...its bed wetting at its finest.

we have a really good squad...more than good enough to stay up without additions.

signings would be nice i agree with you, but we are far from f***ed.

We would very much struggle to stay up without signings. We have no competition at right back or left back (and I don't think Ward or PVA are up to scratch), we don't have Batshuayi anymore and only have donkeys for strikers, our attacking/creative players come down to Wilf, Andros, Meyer and Schlupp at a push. Meyer is the only player under 25 in our senior squad. We have no long term plan. Our squad is so thin for options that one or two injuries will seriously screw us.

We absolutely need signings, as Roy had made very clear.

Benteke or Wickham up front and ward at right back? Do behave. If we do that Parish will be throwing more money around in January than he would’ve done now, as per usual, but taking advantage of the manager as he always seems comfortable in doing.

Roy's had ,and is still having, a brilliant, successful career.
He's extremely fit both physically and mentally, and Palace are lucky to have him for their manager.
Like all of us he's not perfect, but he's been let down badly by those at the club who are meant to seek out players to improve the squad, we're linked with umpteen players, but after dealing with our negotiating team, players seem reluctant to come to Selhurst Park.

1) provide some substance to that POV

2) both have a full pre-season behind them, not donkeys have had injury problems

3) we are bidding for multiple players under 21...thats a plan to me.

You’ve either been in a coma for 6 years or you’re very forgiving. Unfortunately football teams aren’t very charitable and the Prem is very unforgiving and very ruthless when one or two teams show how obvious our weaknesses are, unless you expect Roy to save us with a striker who manages one goal per season or actually no striker at all and instead of a wall for a right back, one that’ll be torn to shreds by mid September.

Haven't got them though have we?

Did you watch today? Please don't say "it was only a pre-season friendly"
Agree both strikers have had injuries, Wickham's in particular horrendous. I will not criticise their effort but, for whatever reason, they will not keep us up

1. Because we struggled last season, and now our squad is even weaker (no AWB, no Batshuayi).

2. Benteke has been awful for two years. He is done. Wickham is a long way off being am effective PL player.

3. How do you know that? Even if we get anyone in, we've messed about and got them in too late to integrate for the start of the season. And given our recent history with transfers, do you trust that we have an effective transfer team to identify quality targets?

Could it be that our bizarre approach to transfers is lack of money driven.
The Americans must have shut their wallets, Leaving things looking very shakey. With a £35m deficit which AWB transfer will have cleared, maybe we literally are out of cash.
I very much doubt the minority shareholders will or can dip in to fund us so we may have hit a brick wall.
If this is the case we will only be seeing Ayew type signings if any.
Their is no sign of a takeover and Parish silence is ominous.
Hope I’m wrong.

I think you may well be correct and it is the wage bill that is crippling us. We need a decent takeover quickly
