Yes I did change it to monkeys as your other post states.

The phrases "don't give a damn" "Don't give a monkeys"
or even "don't give a toss" all mean he same thing ie not caring.
I obviously used the wrong one because I forgot that a cyber bully with a low intelligence quotient would come along and twist it's meaning to an offensive personal insult!!!

My beef was with quite a number of posters who did say WH was a rubbish keeper. I have insisted he wasn't and suffered some pretty vile personal insults on here for saying so. I have noted that a lot of posts on this thread are now acknowledging the fact that he isn't a bad keeper after all even if they think VG is the better keeper.

I do understand that the man currently in command stays there unless he suffers a dramatic loss of form or suffers an injury. It's good to know we have a capable back up keeper as some of those saves shown were top class and should show that. Only those with closed minds won't acknowledge that fact.

One fact you mentioned is that Guiata is currently operating behind the 3rd best defence in the league. A luxury that WH has never experienced.

For the record I kind of agree with you, but only the later version of WH (2018 onwards). Prior to that his form was pretty average.
I suspect the real reason for his upturn in form probably has something to do with getting rid of Pardew and his mate Woodman and bringing in a decent goalkeeping coach.

... what

Agree with all of this. What I found most frustrating about WH was his reluctance to command his area and come for crosses, maybe this is the way he has been coached but I feel that the defence lost confidence in him.
Having said that, he is a good keeper to have on the bench

A goal keeper alone will not win you the league or get you relegated. Sunderland relegated with Jordon Pickford who sold for £30 mil now England's regular keeper. It was suggested once we should have gone for Ben Foster an ex England keeper and a bloody good one.
However one plays for Everton and the other Watford and look where they are in the table now. If the defence, or the team, is not good the best goalkeeper in the country will not save you. I think that is reasonable to conclude that however good you think VG is he is not doing it alone. VG is in situ at the moment but if he gets injured Hennessey will be in goal and do a good job.

If you want to quote a game three years ago to highlight an error by WH I suggest you remember under Sam A when were not safe and had Chelsea Arsenal and Liverpool where we won all three with Hennessey in goal. He was brilliant against Chelsea and probably winning that game maybe gave us the spur to go and beat Arsenal and Liverpool and was a major factor in avoiding relegation.

All I am really saying is WH is a competentt PL keeper and not "sh1t" as some infer.

Sunderland at home, under Big Sam!! I was at all those games you mentioned. WH gave no confidence to our team; VG is does & actually tries to get us going forward straight away. Same as Benteke, never want to sew WH in a palace shirt again. Get rid ASAP

Hennessy was excellent for Wales v Croatia so he's coming into the Man City game in good form.

I really hope not as it will be a loss of three points.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.
