Pinky yellow, is a colour. Black isn't it's a shade, as you say. I admit to being pinky yellow. I work in a basement. Yeah, that seems to be the case. When I was growing up mixed race was called half caste.....which thinking of it now seems a pretty unusual thing to say...as if there is something overty Hinduism about it.

A member of my household calls herself a Quadroon, seems to think it's funny. In fact she isn't only a quadroon she is a multiple quadroon. Four raced, quad quadroon. That's a Full House innit. Not actually sure if this is pejorative though.

"Removed" suggests that it's just gone; "moved" confirms that it's still around, just put somewhere else. As to pandering to minorities, what on earth is leaving in place a symbol of white supremacy when the majority of those in its shadow want it moved, if not pandering to a minority? Edited by Ray in Houston (23 Aug 2017 4.47pm) Do the majority actually want it moved? Did anyone ask everybody? One more time. Where will it all end? Will we destroy, hide, move anything that offends someone?

How about his backing singers they sung on it too.....Who gets to tell others what their motivation is.....I think it should require careful observation rather than blanket statements. Sure some wave that flag and lie about the reasons and some don't. I'm sure that's true, its a beautiful flag (arguably the sexiest flag) but its kind of problematic I think when people wave around a flag 'for other reasons' that's association is fixed with racism, slavery, oppression. Its like a swastika, it has meanings in Hindu mythology that aren't about genocide and murder but you probably shouldn't be too surprised if sporting one gets you into some grief with people. Same as wearing a Maddie McCann joke T-shirt to an Everton game. You offend people knowingly at your own risk.
