I'm going to give Dazza the benefit of the doubt here and say that this was on and still might be, it may just be delayed and these things can happen.

I think earlier posts however suggested we were also definitely going to sign someone, possibly a forward, with Bats and Chalov specifically named.

I have been harsh before on the OP given previous posts which wound me up to a great extent but will happily recant should they be proved correct.

That would be so much easier to give if, in my 17+ years on here, I could recall a single occasion when an 'ITK' had posted that a signing wasn't going to happen, as he/she had stated, before we all knew it. They would gain so much more credibility if they were able to dish the bad news first.

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!

I hope that Dazza continues to post and is not put off by his critics.
Clearly there was/is advanced interest in KWP and in Roy’s press conference last week he indicated that the deal was on.
For somebody as conservative as Roy to entertain this shows he must have thought it was practically in the bag.
I suspect Levy is up to his last minute brinkmanship tactics, which I’m sure Parish is ready for.
As an aside it’s interesting to note the amount of Tottenham players running down their contracts - Trippier(past), Rose, Erikson, VerTongen.
This decreases their value and makes me question is Levy as shrewd as his PR suggests.

Just chucking this out there but were there not discussions to loan KWP that had a good chance of success but broke down because the clubs couldn't reach a deal. As such is it really fair to call out the poster who reported what everyone genuinely believed was a done deal?

Evening all, I don’t really care what people think I am a Palace fan too and find it just as frustrating.

I am only posting what I get told, I can’t always as soon as I get the info as am busy at work so post when I can.

I am not asking anyone to read my notes or believe but I will continue to post what I know when I get the information.

KWP is still on but could go down to the wire, we are still very keen to bring in players but am told deals have to be right for the club.

That’s fine Dazza. You are much more likely to know what’s going on than me! Disappointing that there’s no more news about KWP. It’s probably down to £££, with both sides haggling.

I am not sure this one is dead I think Spurs wanted too big a loan fee and possibly raised purchase price too as they had 2 clubs interested. If he does want to come to us and all indications are he does then a deal will be done before deadline day. Otherwise he will be sat at Spurs.
It is the reverse of Benteke for us we want a loan fee plus his wages paid in full. Villa think we will relent and give ground

Although Roy said in yesterday's presser that there is no way Benteke is leaving at all

I agree Sikvertop. I think Dazza does a good job posting what’s going on from inside the club. It could well be that the KWP signing will happen over the next two weeks, just that the processing of it is taking longer than people hoped?

I have no desire to enter into specifics but I know that in general terms the adage "There's many a slip 'twixt the cup and the lip" can apply much to the frustration of those attempting to conclude a deal.

I am reliably informed that on occasions, plaster can fall off the ceilings and it really is difficult to be prescient when there are so many factors which enter the equation.I believe the word "Rigmarole" applies.

Over the years there have been those on HOL who have tried to be informative with the best of intentions, yet when certain names have not been lured to' Selhurst Park' they have faced a chorus of execration and shot and shell with their motives being the subject of ordure.Perhaps a veil of silence is the best policy.
